We found this place despite many closed streets, one-way streets and detours. It was well worth the effort. On our first visit we picked up sandwiches, baguettes and pastry. The displays are beautiful, you'll have to take your time deciding what you'll have. We returned the next day for breakfast, a bowl of cafe au lait, almond, chocolate and caramel,... More

We looked for some bread and Croissants for our morning breakfast and Le Croquembouche was around the corner from the airbnb we were staying at. The place was very nice and had lots of fresh breads and sweets. Our french is minimal but the staff there was super nice to us and even taught us how to ask for it... More

This a wonderful, friendly neighborhood spot to stop for lunch and to pick up some pastry or bread to go! The food looks and tastes great -- with lots of choices.

Time of Visit: Early evening on August 19th Order: Lots of desert and pastries Pros: Chocolate, pastry, balance of fruits and chocolate Cons: Seating, a little out of the way with the local construction making things a bit confusing Thoughts: Holy chocolate heaven! Walking in the door was akin to a "kid in a candy shop" feeling. They had display... More

One of the waitresses at a pub told us about this place and she was so right. The owner is such a friendly little thing and I have to say it was the best cappuccino we had on our trip. Her pastries are the best we have had, very rich but not sweet. They are closed on Mondays, take the... More

We grabbed a sandwich here and took it with us to the brewery that is nearby. Friendly staff, who will try to help you in English. Pastries and desserts are little pieces of art.

Lovely atmosphere...most beautiful pastries ever. We came for chocolatines....were doing our own chocolate croissant reviews and comparisons across the city. Winner, for sure! These croissant were so fresh and flaky and delicious, they just melted in your mouth. Great coffee, too...and, of the competitor a few blocks away...they used higher quality chocolate inside, but the pastry itself could not touch... More

The positive reviews here for this bakery are rightfully so. We stayed in a hotel nearby so went here every morning for a quick breakfast. Great coffee. Great pastries that are typical of a french bakery with a little local twist. For example, one day I had a Kouign-amann filled with local strawberries. Unlike another bakery nearby, Le Croquembouche's staff... More

AMAZING!!!! The croissants melted in my mouth, were to die for. The assortment here is insane. Coffee was average. Good quiche for breakfast, pizzas/focaccia throughout the day. I loved the pear and chocolate combinations. I never knew merengue's could be so huge. Nothing bad to say about this place.

I've eaten here for lunch 3 or 4 times in the past couple of weeks and the food is consistently good. Even if there is a line it is not a problem, the line moves very fast. I've had the ham and cheese croissant (warm), the turkey baguette sandwich, and the chicken petit pain and there were all very nice... More
