For our last night in Quebec City we wanted to raise our dining experience a notch. After some research we selected Conti Cafe and it was the right choice. We did not have reservations and ate at the bar, which was fine with us. The meal was not inexpensive, but the quality of the food and wine was worth the... More

As is the case for old Quebec City, finding a restaurant is simply a matter of walking around - they're everywhere. We had passed Conti on an afternoon stroll and had liked the looks of the menu - which has English as well as French descriptions. My wife had black cod (which is a white fish) with risotto and I... Looking for a quiet place for a nice lunch, we found ended up here. Nothing spectacular but service was good. Both, the white and red wine by the glass were average at best. The meat was tender if a little overcooked.

Delicious food. We shared two appetizers - calamari and scallops with chorizo - both wonderful. The really great entrees were the cannelloni and the onion soup. Also great was the endive/Apple/nut salad. Service was excellent. Ambiance is very comfortable. If dinner is as good as lunch, would highly recommend. As a point of interest they share the same kitchen as... More

Had dinner here Thursday and we were quite pleased. Service was attentive and pleasant, and the food quite good. Dishes we had included the lobster bisque, which was rich and with a hint of cognac; risotto with duck confit, and the linguine aux fruits de mer.

We wound up here on our last night as we were tired and gift want to venture far. Big mistake. Space was crowded. Limited gluten free options. I had risotto with duck and cranberries. When presented it seriously reminded me of my cat's canned Friskies. It was very bland in addition to being unappealing. My husband had salmon which was... More

We had a nice dinner. Quarters are tight but we had adequate space. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We had the apple/walnut/endive salad which was amazing. The osso bucco and lamb chops were nicely done. We had tasty Spanish coffees for dessert. We would recommend and would definitely go back.

The lobster bisque was not like any I have had, Didn't care for it. The Crab risotto was good. The waiter was nice.

Located in the upper old city of Quebec (where the majestic St Lawrence River narrows), on the Main Street. It is a good combo of Excellent Italian, with a French Canadian twist. I enjoyed the veal parmigiana with pasta and a good Pinot Grigio. A very good restaurant.
