We had heard about this place through word of mouth, so our curiosity was high. It is located in the most inconspicuous spot - hidden in between a carpet store and several car garages.
I'm sure many have driven by this located and not even...noticed the hidden gem right in front of their face.
The restaurant is very utilitarian. You go there not to be impressed by the decorations, but by the taste of the food. And it does not disappoint.
The menu is quite simple. There are a variety of soups to choose from and you can get them with the broth already mixed in or with the broth on the side. (In large or small size)
We opted for number 1 which was the Phnom Penh noodles.
It can be described as similar to pho, but more flavorful and packed with more contents (ours included not only the offal, but shrimp and fish balls)
Service was extremely quick and the value is there.
We will definitely return to try out the choices.
If you are a fan of pho, or even if you are not; you owe it to yourself to try this place out.
Parking can be a bit tricky since it is right near the corner of a busy intersection (Cote des Neiges and Jean Talon). But there are small side streets where you should be able to find a spot.More
