They only accept cash. The gelato is good; about 14 flavors. None with nuts. Small outdoor seating area. There are no others close.

After a nice meal on Rue Prince Author E., south of Square St. Louis park which adjoins Rue St. Denis in the Latin Quarter, we came upon Pagliacci Bistro Gelati. We tried some samples happily provided, and selected gelati for our dessert. The server placed an overflowing amount of gelati into rather small cups so what looked like it would... More

After lunch with my family we were walking around exploring Montreal. This looked like a quaint little place so we stopped in. My wife and son loved the gelato. Nice selection of flavors. I had a double espresso that packed a good kick. Kept me going for another few hours.

Was out strolling late night and was delighted to find this little tucked away gelato location. Staff were quick to offer up sample tastes as we moaned and groaned over what choice to make. Ended up with doubles and could have gone back for more. Totally addictive! Also loved the nondescript patio, which was a perfect place to eat and... More

Really excellent Ice Cream. They make artisinal gelato and sorbet that are great. I'm really surprised by how creamy and smooth sorbet can be even without the cream. Great service, always an offer of samples, and pleasant patio to sit on. The best for me was mango and raspberry, and then maybe tiramisu, though maybe not all in the same... More

Smooth, creamy, and in all the right flavors. The pistachio is just as good as any I've had. Nutella was delicious too. If you can't choose, they will give you tastes to help you decide. Take your gelato and stroll down Prince Arthur towards Rue St Denis and enjoy the pretty little park at Square St. Louis.

I can't stop thinking about the grapefruit gelato I had from this little shop. Tucked away in this little side street, we stumble upon this gem while exploring St Laurent. Walk a little further and enjoy your gelato by a cute little fountain! How lovely!

I came upon this ice-cream resto while walking on Prince Arthur street. The ice cream is heavenly, the frozen yoghurt a dream. Service and management very friendly and forthcoming. You can spend some time on their terasse without being harassed to consume more than you want, because their philosophy is to make you feel comfortable and welcome. The building is... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
