I have been to this restaurant a few years ago. Despite the fact it was rated well, I did not leave impressed by the tapas menu, which was too expensive for what they are. I visited Pintxo again today for lunch. The waiter was really kind and attentive. The 27$ 4-course menu was a decent value though there is no... More

We were so lucky to find this place, small, cozy, but most important great food. Excellent selection of wines specially a wide selection of Spanish wines, we had a fantastic dish of Iceland cod on a bed of mushed potatoes and vegetables, with a wonderful salsa, it was great and satisfying. I loved when the chef himself Alonso came over... More

It was a really nice evening, simply amazing, the food was very delicious and so tasty. The service was impeccable and very professional. The atmosphere was very good and the restaurant intimate. I studied abroad in Bilbao and am always looking for great basque eateries. So, when I saw this wasn't far from our rental in Montreal, I immediately made a reservation. It's been a few months since our trip, so I don't remember what we'd ordered specifically. However, I will always remember the salad with chorizo vinaigrette, which left me wanting... More

The food was great. But pricy. I had the goat sandwich for Sunday brunch and my girlfriend the 3 eggs Spanish omelet(it was huge) Both were delicious and the service professional. Only thing, the waiter auto tipped himself 15% with MY credit card when we were paying to make sure he get tipped(he probably thought we were stupid tourist) Nevertheless,... More

Hello Miste Davide: First than all we are very happy that you liked our food. We thank you for your encouragement. Regarding Prices, we are still UNDER the average of a benchmark of 4 stars restaurants in Montreal, and our food costs are pretty high also because of the high quality products we use. But we will continue ensuring to... More

We went for lunch and had 5-course prix fixe tapas menu with a refreshing and food-friendly Cava. It was a lot of food, tasty, and well-prepared and paced. The service was very friendly and professional. Super cozy dining room. The 5 courses were a bit much for me (5'5"; medium build), so next time, I'll pick individual tapas, but I... More

The best tapas, delicious and with good variety... Badly, to good that you always need a reservation due that is a very small place...

Management response:

Hello Cocoababy, Glad to hear you like our food! It is true that it's always better to make a reservation on the weekend because we are usually really busy and fully booked. One alternative for you would be to look on the app DINR where we put our last-minute availabilities. Hasta Pronto Pintxo. More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
