My husband and I had a late dinner here on a Friday night based upon a recommendation from a friend of a friend. We ordered the oysters as an appetizer and both had burgers and poutine as our entrees. The oysters were the star of the show, were super fresh, sweet and tasted like the sea. The burgers were also... More

This restaurant is a gem. Service was slow (approx 3.5 hours for dinner) but we were in a larger party so I'm wondering if they assumed we wanted to take our time. Either way the food was bar none. It's a bit pricey, as are their cocktails, but it's gorgeous and in a great location.

The food was delicious, surprisingly good ribs, all enjoyed their meal. It was a busy night and the service was very good.

grabbed supper on a Friday night. Told steak was great - it was just average, veggies cold. Ribs were good, fries good. nothing out of the ordinary. wouldn't recommend the filet mignon

Had a great evening dinner there with my love and her family. The food is delicious and the portions are absolutely huge. I loved it. Sean was our waiter, he's awesome and I highly recommend it.

The service was very nice and I loved the salmon with veggies... beautifully cooked (even in the eyes of this Maritimer).

Bon soir, I had a 8oz Filet Mignon at the MB to celebrate a successful business day. However, on one side, the Filet was almost completely (85%) black. The piece of meat was delivered with the black side down on the plate, presumably so that it was not glaringly obvious. The burning was also visible when looking at a cross-section... More

I have always wanted to try this restaurant. Last week started restaurant week with 26$ three meals course. Yesterday me and my partner tried it and loved it. The escargot entree was delicious, for main course I had the duck leg. Dessert was also good. The ambiance is nice and they have a good looking bar that serve sushi and... More

Dinned on Sunday night with friends from out of town, plenty of tables available. Food was quite pricey for the taste and quality, pretty much only enjoyed the drinks na the company. Won't be returning.

AAA Angus Beef, a delicious raw bar, colorful cocktails, live music and the best burger in town-Mechant Boeuf delivers on all fronts. A 5a7 fixture, this Old Montreal hub adds a pinch of outlandishness to modern pub sensibilities. It's a fresh spin on post-work unwinding and late-night bites. Montreal's mischievous side never tasted so good!

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
