Really cool atmosphere, relaxing and not too crowded on the night we were there. The service was pretty prompt and there were various beer options from which to choose.

Coming from NC, we were a little disappointed with the local beer scene in Montreal. We were so happy to find Bistro le Reservoir! Great microbrews, an awesome location, and delicious food. Service was friendly and attentive. I only wish we had gone there the first night of our stay as I would have gone every night after that!

We stopped here on a warm Thursday afternoon. The place is fairly small with typical pub ambiance. Chalkboards display the list of types of craft beers. Food is tasty pub fare, with no meat - bonus! Although you wouldn't notice so don't let that scare you away, meat eaters. Service was friendly and efficient. Our server was knowledgeable about what... More

We came here with our Mural tour group (Spade&Palacio) and we loved it. It can be noisy and it's difficult to have a real conversation, but for a stop in the road, in order to enjoy some interesting microbrew beer accompanied by a cheese plate (specially I liked the L' Hercule de Charlevoix is a great choice. By the way... More

Our group (two 20-somethings and two 50-somethings) enjoyed a delicious late lunch at this brasserie on Duluth. We arrived around 2 pm on Saturday afternoon and were the only diners, but by 3:00 the place was filling up fast. We tried two different brews and enjoyed veggie burgers, poutine (the fries are amazing!) and the unique veggie tacos. Great casual,... More

Was here on a Friday night. Quite a busy vibe and the vegetarian food was tasty, but I would consider it more of a pub-type offering.

We were told to check this place out by our tour guide at Fitz & Follwell, its a great little spot and has a nice selection of micro brews which we enjoyed. A short walk to a great poutine place, Patati Patata which was recommended to us by a waitress at Reservoir. Enjoy!!

I try to make a point of going to Reservoir every so often when I'm in the Plateau. Since their kitchen is open until Midnight, it's an ideal bar to grab a bite in while you have a pint of beer made onsite. Their talented kitchen staff use a lot of fresh, local ingredients. Located on a scenic little side... More

We visited Reservoir for brunch and it did not disappoint. I was expecting traditional brunch fare and the creativity in the selection of the menu items was a delightful surprise. We had pork belly, veal tongue with grilled cheese, potato and cream corn baked on top of a ham and veg mixture, and pancakes. Not your everyday breakfast items but... More

It's always a pleasure to go to Reservoir as every week they present a new menu and every week I do not know what to pick: everything looks so yummy. The atmosphere is great. I always fight with my spouse to go there :)

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
