We came in for a late dinner. The service was amazing and the food was fantastic. We had burrito, nacho and curry...everything was delicious. The sangria was delightful as well.

I was delighted that the restaurant was so busy on a weeknight -- yay vegetarian food! It was worth the 30 minute wait outside by the garbage bins. We were served by Sarah who was very sweet, friendly, helpful, and attentive to our needs. Food was fresh and so delicious. Best nachos I have ever had. I will always make... More

We went here after looking at the reviews on trip advisor. So so glad we went! The menu is varied, not too big but I still struggled to decide. I had the hempburger and my Mum had the frittata. Both were amazing! Beautifully presented, colourful and tasty. We were both full but knew the desserts would be amazing so we... More

Vegetarian Mexican restaurant, located quite close to McGill University (located within the McGill ghetto). Went here for dinner on a Saturday night. There was a line outside but we were able to sit quite quickly. Small place, really lovely decor, and a good atmosphere. We ordered the half portion of nachos and the burrito, both to share. Service was friendly,... More

Our bnb host suggested this restaurant and he was right! A small restaurant with wonderful waiters and great food. I recommend the Nachos as well as the spicy curry dish.

We got the Vegan Burrito, Vegan Nachos, Ragout Tunesien and a regular Burrito. Love this place - delightful vegetarian menu with plenty of vegan options. Loved the TWIX Pie, cannot believe it was vegan! We wanted to go back the second day for dessert but they close by 10pm. Next time....Thanks for a great time and good food.

The food at lola rosa can be hit or miss- the daily soups are usually quite good and are almost always gluten free. The reason for the three stars is that as someone with celiac, I was reassured that the food that they make and label as gluten free was safe to consume. I was told on my third visit,... More

Hello I m sorry about this problem! We train our waiters to warn you that it could be a problem for Celiac. In our procedures we clean our hands, workstation and change knives in the kitchen as soon as we told someone is celiac to limit the cross contamination. I went to Lola Rosa a few years ago and enjoyed the food, sadly, my second experience was most likely THE WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE I've ever had at a restaurant. We waited in line for a table of two, which took about 40 minutes. Once we were seated, we were given water and handed menus. Then the wait began... After... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
