I will start by saying that I got the hempburger and although it wasn't particularly tasty, you can tell the food is really clean and healthy. My tummy was happy, my taste buds were not. When my husband and I arrived on location, there was a line. We were told 25 minutes. The time they give you doesn't mean anything.... More

After a 28hr journey, I needed somewhere simple and healthy for dinner. The Ragout Tunisien was very good and really hit the spot. Relaxed atmosphere.

We went on a Tuesday night, yet it was still very busy (would perhaps advise booking), yet the service was still very good. We all enjoyed our main meals (I had the tacos which were really nice), the atmosphere was good, and it was a pretty reasonable meal out too.

Eating solo is always a bit intimidating. Also being in a strange city and vegetarian also has it's challenges and I lucked out coming across this restaurant. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the food. They also gave me a lot of tips about visiting Montreal. I sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender and other... More

This place is always busy and not only with McGill students and this is deserved : the food, Nacho, vegan, type is very good, the atmosphere excellent, although you might feel a little bit crowds and the staff very pleasant. Pricing is attractive.

I have been here plenty of times. Lovely food and friendly staff. My favorite here is the curry! There are some great options if you are a vegan.

Located conveniently for McGill students near their residential area, Cafe Lola Rosa offers vegan food with Mexican vibe. The atmosphere was pretty unique and cozy and the pricing wasn't too bad but wasn't fantastic. The food was pretty average at best-definitely not bad, but not good enough to consider going back to this place specifically for their food.

Our son chose this restaurant since I am vegetarian. I wasn't sure how it would to be. As it turned out, there was nothing to be worried about. The service was fast, and the food was simply awesome. I had the Quesadilla. It was well done and extremely tasty.

Even the half portion of nachos could feed 3! There are very tasty and not greasy. I had a hemp seeds burger and it had the right amount of moist and taste ( with a little kick). The service was nice too. A unique touch...open your drawer and you will be surprised. We will be back!

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
