Not a bad Irish pub! Maybe a dozen of draft beers and 3 stouts among them. Wood tables and chairs, screens for football matches, a lot of empty whiskey bottles along the walls.

We went here for our anniversary while in Montreal. They have great burgers and some very good brews. This place has a nice atmosphere, we really enjoyed it. Great service as well.

I've been going to this Pub since 1987. Look for the the two priciest burgers on the menu. They are well worth the price in terms of food quality and satisfaction. The pub also serves food other than burgers. Make a visit and you'll be surprised by exactly what other food offerings are on the menu!

My takeaway of our trip to Montreal and Ottawa are that Canadians love their Irish pubs. They are everywhere. Like most pubs, this has the traditional homely corner pub feel. You'll find the typical selection of Guinness, Harp, Bass, et al. The menu is rife with common pub fare, more notably its extensive list of burgers. I thought the beef... More

Had the best time here! Fun, talkative bartenders, great music - if we lived in the area, it would be a regular stop.

I was looking to go to the oldest Irish pub in Montreal. I did not find it. Evidently they had moved. I wanted to watch the NCAA Men's Final Four. When the Habs are playing they are what's on. I was not served until a couple of local guys happen to sit down next to me. I ended up leaving... More

We stayed downtown and were looking for dinner before meeting friends that night. When we walked in, we were surprised to see how fill the pub was with locals and tourists alike. Lots of choices of draft beer, huge selection of Irish whiskey and more burgers then I have fingers. The food was good, the service was better but the... More

Nice Irish pub in downtown area just off university street. Nice menu with lots of choices. We were 5 colleagues to have lunch. We all ordered their steak & fries special which also came with a soup. We all ordred different beers in the Irish spirit. All was excellent and the service was very good and rapid. We got there... More

We were directed to the Olde Dublin by the hotel as we wanted a place close for a quick meal and drink. The bartender/server was amazingly accomodating and spoke excellant English. The Guinness though was served cold. The medium spiced lamb curry was very tender but not spicy enough. In fact there was hardly any taste of curry. The chicken... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
