We went as a group of six. We had read reviews online and heard that they stopped serving food at unreasonably early times so we phoned ahead to ensure the kitchen was still open. It was when 4 of us got there so we put our order in. We knew that our other friends were coming later so we sent... More

We visited this pub after site seeing in Montreal. Perfect stop! The beer was great and the food excellent. We have the Saag and it was fantastic! Better than some Indian Restaurants. The staff was very personable. Highly recommend this place.

We went to the pub before 930pm on a Saturday night and we were told the kitchen was no longer serving food. This was only an issue because it was our first time in Montreal and was raining hard outside. The staff was understandable. We got a couple of very good drinks and the we left. By the way, the... Visited here for a quick drink on the evening we arrived. There's a good selection of beers and some interesting Guiness cartoons on the wall. They do live music though we didn't experience it. Both French and English spoken.

Irish style as the name indicates. Numerous TV screens and therefore also recommended as a sportsbar. Le Vieux Dublin also offers "happy hours" with cheaper beers. A nice location for a beer, allowing also to get reasonable food, especially burgers, but also fish and chips are recommended. A location worth to remember. I've been here every time at least once,... More

Tres Bien! We had a great time. The live music was nice. Our bartender, Mike, I was witty and quick with a drink. This is a must visit.

We stopped here for a burger while walking around this area, as we wanted to try their award-winning burgers (some say they’re the best in town). Also called “Old Dublin” it has two bars and a very impressive list of imported and domestic beers on tap. They also carry a huge list of Scotches. The food here is good and... More

Not a bad Irish pub! Maybe a dozen of draft beers and 3 stouts among them. Wood tables and chairs, screens for football matches, a lot of empty whiskey bottles along the walls.

Thank Shimnik

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
