We were staying at a nearby hotel, and this was one of the very few restaurants within walking distance. We were welcomed inside the very full restaurant (Mother's Day weekend), and had a table in the back, with a view. The wait staff are attentive and knowledgeable. There is a good variety of food choices on the menu, and some... More

We happened to be staying near by and needed a quick place for a late meal as we had been traveling much of the day. We stopped here and received quick but very average service, then food was only average and on the expensive side.

I was staying at a hotel near by and stumbled across this restaurant and I'm glad I did. No wait time, you can eat at the bar or in the sit down area. They have both EN and FR menus and the staff are bilingual, the food was really really good and the service was impeccable. I liked it so... More

Buyer beware. I entered the restaurant and liked the menu. However, before being seated I went the bathroom. I was alarmed to see an employee exit a stall and return to the restaurant without washing their hands. They rushed out passed all the sinks and soap and re-entered the bar area. After washing my hands, I left and ate at... More

Arrived at my hotel around 10pm and immediately asked for dinner recommendation. The hotel staff recommended Madisons Grill but advised me that they closed at 11pm. A short walk from Hôtel Universel, Madison Grill, from the outside, appears to be a typical chain restaurant. I was not sure what to expect since it was near closing time. We were immediately... Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighborhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighborhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
