I was at the Saint Catherine location and the place wasn't exceptionally busy but it was definitely understaffed. We were seated by the host and then she left us for about ten minutes without water or menus. So I got up and asked for English menus, and instead of just giving it to me there she told me she'd bring... More

The buckwheat crepes were a savory surprise! I wasn't expecting to enjoy it so much. Unfortunately, we didn't have room left for the chocolate tasting that we had planned. If I return, I'm going for the chocolate tasting first. We settled on a sampler dessert and the warm, chocolate brownie which was just terrific. I cannot go back to regular... More

Overpriced, bad quality. Service is slow. I don't understand why they seat tables of two against the wall and then tables of four right next to them. You feel stuck in a corner. It is not comfortable at all.

This is a very easy review to write. Just get anything on the menu! The best place for desert I have ever been to, period. All the brownies are gluten free but you would never know. Seriously Amazing!

Even with a three star rating I want to go back and try more. We had a late dinner and the dark chocolate tasting. Because it was late they brought the chocolate tasting first, I found it interesting but I do not think I would get it again. The savory buckwheat crepes were good but not great. I want to... More

First time travelling to Montreal. I saw this place walking down the street and had to go in, as I am a huge chocolate lover. The food was to die for and it was a nice bonus that the waiters were very cute and welcoming as well.

Visited Juliette et Chocolat on Sunday for Brunch. Best decision ever. The bright and airy interior coupled with the menu of crepes as mains and crepes as a dessert was just ideal for a brunch. Light and breezy. Had the crepe with strawberries and others in my group had a variety of other dishes from the menu. All of us... More

My husband and I came here for dessert one night after a recommendation from the hotel concierge and it was absolutely amazing! They have a whole menu of chocolate items...desserts, drinks, ice creams. I would highly recommend the waffles with strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate. We also had the peanut butter brownie with ice cream and that was delicious! Perfect... More

Juliette was encouraged to found this business as a bar, for chocolate, as a young entrepreneur. It is a winning concept, especially if one is seeking to relax in a "bar-like" bistro setting that puts chocolate front-and-center where cocktails, shots, beer or wine would normally rule. Although I am at an age where I need periodic reminders that courtship and... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
