Every time we visit Montreal, our last day consists of breakfast here that never disappoints, with take out lunch for the drive home.

I did not try this food in the restaurant, but rather at a food stand at the Osheaga music festival. It was so good I ate it everyday and HAD to write a review! The dragon bowl was so delicious and filling. The vegetables were amazing and fresh and that sauce was unreal! The other thing I tried was the... More

My parents are not vegan and I'm kind of vegan friendly (became vegetarian two years ago), this restaurant was awesome: very big portions and great quality, surprising food combos and colorful presentation! Loved that, especially during a very hot August day

Good veggie food and friendly staff. The portions though are definitely too big. By reducing them, food would be even more enjoyable

Thank you for the kind review, we truly appreciate it. Regarding the large portions: It's no secret that we do serve large hearty portions at Aux Vivres. Luckily if you want something smaller and lighter we have many options, such as smaller versions of salads and chili. We also serve various appetizers like tempeh satay skewers with teriyaki and peanut... More

The Dragon Bowl is a winner - as is the chocolate banana pie. The Kosmos plate was good, but would have held up better if the pita equivalent had been warm and soft. The service was friendly - and don't forget to ask for your check when you are ready to leave. Tip: Like the dragon sauce? You can buy... More

Thank you for the kind review, we're happy you enjoyed the Aux Vivres experience. Our new line of bottled sauces (and everything else) are made with entirely fresh ingredients, so they do require refrigeration. If only we could teleport them straight to your fridge at home. Now that would be awesome! More

We ordered many different plates and entrees and overall food was hit and miss. Some good, some bland. The day's special "Vegan Poutine" wasn't that good. The Mexican plate was tasty and Vburgers were ok. Choice of wine and beers was limited and not very good. But what truly ruined the evening was fruit flies all over the place. We... More

We're very sorry that you did not have the best experience at AV, that we would have loved to give you. Our entire restaurant including the fresh fruit and smoothie bar is immaculately cleaned and maintained, yet during the hottest of heat waves we have experienced the occasional presence of fruit flies which are treated by a professional service during... I met a Vegan friend for lunch and really enjoyed my meal. The food was fresh and flavorful. The service was great and I definitely recommend it, even for the non-vegans.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
