As always the food was great. The best vegan option I've found in Montreal. Friendly and professional staff. My niece left her phone behind and the server ran after us to return it! Love this place.

The food was great! Im not a vegan but I was greatly impressed with the food. The restaurant looked like a diner. It was a great experience.

The food at Aux Vivres will not disappoint vegetarians or meat eaters alike. The place can get really crowded, but the line moves quickly. Reservations aren't a bad idea. The offer a very diverse menu and portions are huge. I love their salads and bowls The last time we went I had the chili which was excellent. Service can be... More

This is the original Vegan restaurant. Delicious stuff. The "gyro" is to die for. Everything is good. Make sure to reserve a table because its packed.

The food at this place is amazing... if you are a squirrel or a bird. To my taste it's somewhat bland. But I do end up there from time to time as my vegetarian and vegan friends seem to like it a lot. And it's good to give a little sometimes.

As vegetarian travellers we're not used to this kind of choice! Had a great meal - recommend the BLT (which is a huge portion also). Delicious sauces and good choice of proteins (tofu or tempeh for most dishes).

Thanks for the review, which I think sums up what we strive to accomplish everyday-create protein rich healthy foods and not skimp on the portions. We hope you come back for another visit soon. Happy travels! More

I ate here with my girlfriend and some friends on Halloween. We all ordered Thai or Dragon bowls and were very impressed with the quantity of fresh veggies and quality of the dishes. As a vegetarian I appreciate the effort. Great service despite a small problem with the POS device. A big recommend.

Quite a large and airy place right on the "Main". Large menu with many veggie items and some good drinks (eg - the Bourbon Tonic with touch of ginger - yum!). The chili dishes are popular and good as well as the soups. Lots of salads which are very large. However not being a vegan it was a bit limiting.... More

We're glad you came to our restaurant! For meat lovers we recommend you try our tasty and meaty vegan burger with roasted potatoes and coleslaw. Or perhaps the gyro with seasoned organic tempeh , creamy tzatziki tomato and kalamata olives. More

Living in Mtl, you will come across a lot of vegan places. This one is one of the best. Its located a block away from Mt-Royal. I mostly come here for lunch on the weekend. They have 5 great choices. Portion size is amazing. Always quick service so I'm in and out in about 30 mins and never any line-up!... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
