My son had a milkshake, which means something different in Montreal than in Boston--so remember to order a scoop if ice cream in in. We also got a pot du citron, which was cute and served in a very tiny jar. There was a layer of crumble on the bottom, some lovely, tart, lemon, and then a kind of meringue... More

We went to the Laurier location on a Saturday afternoon, the outdoor terrasse was beautiful and the area very calm, we ordered vanilla ice cream sandwich, Grandma style and dark chocolate tasting. All of them were excellent, it can be pricey but it is worthly.

I had been to this place once a few years back and it was quite good, I would have put it in a must go list in Montreal then but not today. I am not a chocolate-pro but I am into my chocolate and think that I can tell good from bad. I and my wife who also loves to... More

No matter where you have dinner on St. Denis, you must stop in here to eat or take out a delicious French chocolate pastry.

Based on many Trip Advisor recommendations, and great experiences on previous trips, we had several meals at Juliette et Chocolat. We were totally pleased on each visit. While rightfully known for marvelous chocolate creations, Juliette et Chocolat has nice meals to offer too. Of particular note to us, the meal crepes were very tasty - made with buckwheat flower and... More

After spending a forenoon sightseeing in Downtown Montreal, we (my wife, daughter and her little son) went to this cosy little restaurant for lunch. Apart the homely ambience, the food in this restaurant is quite delicious. We had crepes with different fillings, Chicken/Turkey and goat cheese. Spinach complete crepes and Farm House crepes. Delicious. We topped off with Dark chocolate... More

I wanted to try only new places while in Montreal for a few weeks, but ended up going back here many times. The brownie kebab was AMAZING and the L'intense was mind blowing.

More sophisticated than Dairy Queen, the selection is various and the prices are not too expensive. I would not bring a family with children because it's a bit costly and children would not appreciate those sophisticated desserts. Good place for a romantic setting or a final touch to an evening.

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
