We got here 3:30 on a vacation week Tuesday. It was busy but not packed, although the crowd picked up in the hour and a half we were there. There was no sign and one near the door asking us if we wanted to be seated, and we nearly ordered at the counter and tried to sit with it. We... More

Amazing crepes and hot chocolate. The crepes are actually huge and have so many delicious savoury topping options. The L'Ancienne hot chocolate made me come back multiple times. The it was incredibly thick and creamy, and with the extra whipped cream I ordered it really made my night! The service was great too. Thanks!

We went in on a freezing cold afternoon looking for some hot chocolate to warm up. We were surprised at the extensive menu—so many possiblities! We ended up choosing the dark chocolate "Grand Crus" sampler to share: 3 different "crus" served in large snifter glasses with about a half cup of chocolate crème in each. The texture is reminiscent of... More

The crepe and the fondue were really really good! If you love chocolate or sweets, that's the right place for you! I really liked the crepe, the portions are big so you might wanna share. It's a bit expensive.

We came here for desert after having dinner at Schwartzs. We shared a desert that was half brownie half cookie dough with a side of fresh whipped cream and hazelnut ice cream. It was delicious 😋 We also shared their signature hot chocolate which was amazing as well. I highly recommend!

If you want a chocolate treat (from brownies, to put au crème, to soufflés, to ice cream) and a nice cup of coffee served by friendly staff, this spot is well worth a visit. We went there twice and very much enjoyed it both times. It's busy and a good place to people watch. You see students, couples, families, and... More

We visited this place for dessert on Saturday night. Yes it was very busy but this was no excuse for what followed. We waited ages for our order to be taken and then about half an hour for our dessert of a chocolate fondue cake and a fondue sharing platter. We were seated by the till/kitchen and observed a fondue... More

My friend and I visited Juliet's twice during our stay in Montreal. The first visit was for lunch and dessert the second just for dessert. Both times we had wonderful service from the staff and the food did not disappoint. The savoury lunches were just as good as the desserts and both times we left having eaten so much we... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
