I've been enjoying Restaurant Bonaparte for decades now, including countless special meals, such as this year's Covid take-home New Years dinner and a "sous vide" dinner enjoyed for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday a few days later. The quality of the food, even under these difficult...and unusual circumstances, and the care put into ensuring our enjoyment of them, away from the restaurant as is necessary at the moment, are a fine reflection of the class, taste and professionalism that has made Bonaparte one of Montreal's great restaurants for all these years. On top of the impeccable food, they included clear serving instructions, a candle in a lovely glass holder with matches, and a Spotify playlist to create just the right French ambiance for their classic French cuisine. With Bonaparte, it's never "au revoir;" it's always "à la prochaine!"More

Looking for a place where the food is top and the service is at the highest quality you can get? Then make sure you book a dinner @ Bonaparte. Dress up and let these culinarian experts take you on an unforgettable journey. Make sure you...order one of their soufflé's, as they are the best you can have. I chose the Grand Marnier one, and I must admit that I would fly back to Montréal tomorrow for the same desert. They also pay attention to details. This is the one element that makes the difference between good and great. The menu cart is sealed, for individual use, and you can keep it as a souvenir if you want to. The wine cart is exclusive, a wine for each wallet. You can make it as blunt as you want to, or your credit card allows you to.More

I read the reviews and picked this restaurant for our 25th anniversary dinner in Montreal. It greatly exceeded our expectations! Not just the food was amazing, the service was fabulous, the platiing was very pretty. I had the tasting menu, food and wine were first...class. The great thing was the price was not expensive at all. It was very reasonable. I have been to many fine dning and this one for sure greatly exceeded our expectations. If I need to nit picking, it could be because of COVID the server did not "clean" my table during the courses. But all in all, nothing to complain. What impressed me was their "sealed" one-time paper menu! It's a hidden gem in old Montreal and I'm glad I gave it a try! I'd love to go back when I visit Montreal again!More

My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Bonaparte Restaurant. The Mushroom ravioli was delicate and delicious, better than the ravioli I had in Italy. My husband had the tasting menu, the scallops and shrimp were cooked to perfection. He enjoyed the Filet Mingon and...the Creme Brule was light and fluffy. Service was great but the tasting menu does take time, about 1.5 hours but we didn't mind.More

Bonaparte is fine dining at its best! Celebrated our anniversary and were well taken care of by our waiter Georges! Excellent food and service. During this time of COVID, must emphasize that the safety precautions in place are exceptional: hand sanitizer at the entrance...tables well...spaced...once seated the waiter brings you a warm cloth to wipe your hands...a disposable menu awaits you at your table...and at the end of your meal, hand sanitizer is offered again! A great experience, felt comfortable and safe. Highly recommend!!More

Myself and a friend came in on July 31 2020. We had selected this restaurant upon a recommendation from a friend. The food was incredible with every course being carefully prepared and artistically plated. But the true standout was Frederique. He was so attentive and...personable. Every member of the staff was welcoming and kind. I can confidently say that this was both of our best restaurant experience in 2020. Thank you for having us and we will certainly be back!More

My wife and I had our anniversary dinner here. We did not know food could taste this good. We ate every drop of the sauce on the snails and asparagus. The vegetables with our entree were presented exceptionally well and had marvelous taste. We loved...every restaurant on our trip to Montreal, but on our next visit the Bonaparte will definitely be visited again. Don't ever let the chef leave.More

We were there during Restaurant Week, and they offered both a la carts and pre-fixe. I would check, but would guess they’ll have both. Either way, I’m sure you’re in for a great meal!
