So I stopped in just to get a quick bite while out alone. The wife isn't adventurous and wouldn't eat here anyways. So I was not familiar with anything on the menu, but the Shish Taouk seemed a safe bet. The wrap was okay, I found it a little bland and boring. The staff were pleasant, had a rushed order-now... We stopped in at Amir on Sainte Catherine this past Sunday over the May long weekend as we were hanging out in the park across the street listening to the music and our little one was having a blast playing in the water fountains. It was hot outside and time for supper so I got some take out and was... More

This is not a fancy place, but the food is very tasty and fresh. This is a chain Restaurant, they have different locations. The service is fast and prices are good.

The new formula of success was a model made by Amir. Not so much any more. From the spiceless, bland meats to the deduction in portions, to the horrendous, rude almost uncaring attitude of the workers, i am shocked that more of these restaurants have not closed. I think i have never recieved a thank you or a hello from... More

Great food, great prices, served fast. We couldn't believe how many good things they were able to stuff into a pita! We had the lamb shawarma pitas and we don't know what all was in it, but it was delicious and filling! They were under $6 CAD each.

Nothing fancy but a large establishment with good selection of Mediterranean foods in the heart of St. Catherine's.

I have been to Montreal 5 times. I always eat here. In the past has always been really good. This last time not so much. Food seemed like it had sat out too long and lost its flavor. The staff as usual is really nice. Since the food is fresh made it may have been an "off" night for them.... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
