Our family of four enjoyed a delicious Italian dinner of minestrone, stuffed mushrooms, piccata and pasta. A really nice experience.

I grew up near "The Hill", a Little Italy in the St. Louis area, but have to tell you that this place had some of the best Italian food that I've had. Thank you as well to our waiter, Don, and the Manager, Marcello, for their hospitality. If you're visiting Montreal and like Italian food, check it out!

For an appetizer we shared the stuffed portobello mushrooms and a ricotta spinach dish that was of the specials of the day. As a main course we had... More

Perhaps the best Italian food I have ever eaten! I had the gnocchi and was more than impressed with the taste and texture. Everything about the restaurant: the staff, the food, the atmosphere makes this a restaurant that I want to revisit.

We visited this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and could not have been more pleased with the experience. Everything from the ambience to the food to the service was outstanding. I went with my family to Bis for the first time, I heard about it before so I expected it to be as good as I hear. Immediately when I walked in I was greeted with a smile and was seated at a table. I ordered a antipasto and gnocchi with rosé sauce. The antipasto arrived and I couldn't believe... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
