Our party of six dined at Bis before a Washington DC/Montreal hockey game (we were the out-of-towners). After a warm greeting, we enjoyed a delicious meal, excellent wine and exceptional service. Hats off to Bis...I highly recommend this restaurant!

We had an incredible dinner at Bis. The service was incredible from the coat check to the table. No detail was overlooked. The wine recommendation was spot on. Our entire table was happy with their food choices. I don't think anything on the menu would be disappointing ! This is on my list for repeat visits ... Loved it💝

Probably the best meal I have ever had anywhere, Extremely professional and friendly service and the food was beyond reproach with great atmosphere. We tried half a dozen appetizers and an antipasto dish to start and thought we went to heaven. Didn't think it could get any better and then we had the rack of lamb. I would recommend this... More

The food and service were both nothing less than perfect. We tried the veal chop and the seafood. Both perfectly prepared and served. I really recommend this restaurant. No wonder it was the George colony's favorite restaurant while he was staying in Montreal.

Was expecting typical traditional italian fare but was pleasantly surprised as the menu had a modern twist (mostly found on the market menu, which i was told are the chef’s inspirations) Items such as italian sushi, gourmet corn dogs and gnocchi poutine were all non traditional items yet used only authentic italian ingredients. My wife prefers classic recipes so she... More

We were walking down Mountain street and got caught in a Montreal snowstorm! As we were looking for refuge we were attracted to these beautiful Christmas lights and stumbled into this charming restaurant.. A perfect little gem. We were greeted so warmly and treated like old friends. Everything was perfect and romantic like a scene out of a movie! Thank... More

The restaurant was accommodating when we asked to shift our reservation timing which we appreciated. Staff was friendly, however, waiter was clearly rushing from table to table and the food was just not impressive. Pasta with shrimp and tiny calico scallops had a sauce that was too much for the seafood. Would not return.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
