We had an early breakfast here before 8 am and had the early bird special. It was 2 eggs, choice of meat, hash browns, toast and coffee.....all for only $ 4.79!!!! The regular price is only $ 5.49. The food was delicious and we had great service. Our total bill was only $ 11.02 with tax. Crazy good deal for... More

There are two Reuben's on St. Catherine Street. There is a fancier one above ground and an older one below ground which is where I went this time. It is a more traditional Montreal Deli as opposed to the fancier one. The best thing was the staff. I had two waiters who were very friendly. I had the Reuben Sandwich,... More

Absolutely amazing service, atmosphere and food. The smoked beef is out of this world and the chop chop poutine is not to be missed!

We had a Montreal smoked meat for lunch there which was delicious. They even had options for how juicy (fatty) you wanted your sandwich to be. Our sandwiches were delicious as was the coleslaw. Our waiter was courteous and prompt. The next day after a less than pleasant lunch elsewhere we went back for dinner which was also excellent. Again... More

Let me start by saying that the waitress started on a very rude note with us but I imagine she saw the look in our face and changed her attitude quickly. I had the Reubens Sandwich and my son had the BUT. We both agreed they were good but that was about it "average". I've had more for less in... More

Reuben's is by far one of the best! Went there for lunch. Got the Reuben and my friend got the French Dip. Huge sandwiches and great Fries. Desserts looked delish! Took half our sandwiches back to hotel for dinner. Had to go back that evening for dessert. Strawberry Cheesecake was also huge and delicious! Coffee was great. Service was excellent... More

I went to the basement version of the restaurant as the upstairs one had a long line. No wait at the basement location. Service was fine. Food was fairly quick and very tasty. Took my cheesecake back with me to share with my family, it was so good!

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
