I was out shopping and stopped at the Omni for a leisurely lunch. The menu at Le Petit Opus has many attractive offerings, but I opted to splurge and try a Canadian rendition of the lobster roll. It was delicious. A flat french roll, lightly toasted, was filled with very fresh lobster dressed with a slightly spicy remoulade topped with... More

I personally love all the concrete; I love modern when it comes to hotels. Great price large modern rooms; a bit more worn than I remember from the last time I stayed there 4 or 5 years ago. Beautiful lobby at the end of St Laurent with great night life and shopping.

OPUS was very good and we recommend it...Having dined in many hotels restaurants we know that the experience is not always pleasant however OPUS was most enjoyable. It is a small dining room - very quiet. The service was friendly and helpful - the salad with chicken was a good healthy choice and the fish was also very good.

I only ate breakfast here because it was included in the price of the room. The food selection in the morning buffet is not about quantity but quality, definetly the among the best I have seen enjoyed in a hotel. The service is also top notch. But for me and my wife having to pay over fifty dollars for breakfast is... More

Crammed into a corner of the Hotel Omni Mont-Royal, this place deserves the same attention the rest of the facility gets. The breakfast buffet is over-priced dreck. But I had high hopes for dinner. The staff (all one of him) was attentive and knowledgable but the food just never quite impressed. A seasonal greens salad had so much dressing, it... More

The food was fine and service excellent. Although the restaurant was still in its temporary location, once again the hotel staff did everything they could to accommodate its guests.

Decent menu, friendly staff albeit one day the poor waiter was all by himself and completely overwhelmed! Staff are friendly and service reasonably quick. Don't expect large selection as place is quite small, but nice if want a cozy little place with your significant other.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
