An absolute winner! I'll never forget the taste of that steak and it's melting, soft texture. Combined with grill veggies and red wine, gherkins and marinated cabbage for a starter, the whole evening was very warm and homie experience. Service is great and everything else is worth going back to!

Perfect steak done exactly correctly. The pickles are to die for as is the coleslaw. Better in restaurant as no preservatives. It is expensive but you get what you pay for. Service excellent. Definitely a place to visit when in Montreal

One of the better steak houses in Montreal for decades. Like any other restaurant you can get something that does not meet your expectations. The excellent waiters will gladly replace anything you don't like. Their cole slaw & pickles are so good that you can now find them in all the large grocery chains along with many other items they... Take a step back in time & have one of the best steaks in the city. Old school waiters attend to your table. select your steak and monte Carlo potatoe -- set your carnivore free for the evening. Extensive wine list🍷

My wife and I celebrated a friend's birthday on September 24 Our friend had been raving about Moishes for many years and it lived up to his reviews. While Moishes was very busy we never felt neglected or rushed The steaks were terrific and done as ordered The Monte Carlo potato was enough for two to share and was excellent... More

First off, understand that this restaurant is very expensive. That being said, the steaks are about the best we ever had. The flavor and tenderness were superb. Our party had the filet mignon and New York strip. The sides were less successful but still certainly good. The potato latkes were excellent, the twice baked potatoes were very heavy. Skip the... There's a reason Forbes Magazine named us one of the Top 10 Steakhouses in the world. And why Moishes has become a Montreal favorite that has endured over 70 years. We think it's the authentic taste of each one of the old world favorites on our menu.

If you're an old friend, welcome back. We're always delighted to see you. We couldn't have come this far without you. If you haven't yet, we warmly invite you to discover the taste for yourself, at our restaurant overlooking historic Saint-Laurent Boulevard (The Main.)

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
