Maiko definitely makes the best sushi in town. I love the service, the food and the atmosphere. It's always fresh and I never had any complaints. I would definitely try the tempura and the delice Maiko, it's great!

Ordered the wagyu appetizer so far so good, wagyu melts in your mouth but can only be cooked well done and only had 3 slices for 25$ a little overpriced and then ordered accupuntured snapper, half raw lobster, bonito, spicy tuna and shinsen Uni , snapper was really good but not as good as the accupuntured snapper from park, the... We ordered a 7 varieties of makis from the menu and ended up with a bunch of makis that essentially had no fish but were all packed with rice, cucumber, a bit of avocado, and crispy tempura. Paying $80 for that is just insulting. When I mentioned to the waiter that all the makis had too much rice, he said... More

This restaurant is beautiful from the moment you step inside the door, to the time the food is delivered. The staff were professional and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious.

I went to the restaurant with 2 friends for a business dinner. The quality of the food we got was great. The service was amazing. He suggested to us different meals that are specialities and... amazing choices. Wine was good. We all enjoyed our evening !

We had heard great things about the restaurant, thats why we decided to go there for our wedding anniversary. 10 minutes passed after we had sat at the table, and the server didn't approach us to greet us nor offer us water/drinks. I made him gesture to come to the table and he gestured back (it wont be long).....3 more... More

Every time I want to indulge in fresh sushis, great taste and awesome flavours I visit Maiko on Bernard street. The restaurant is always packed and the food is always tasty. The Alaska salad was a surprising experience in fusion cuisine...

This has been our favorite sushi restaurant for years, but when we went a few days ago we were a bit disappointed. The maki rolls were still very good, but not excellent or even amazing as in the past. Also, each maki roll gave us four pieces, rather than 5 (or perhaps even 6) in past years. So the meal... More

Great Maki/sushi, very tasty and one can feel the attention and passion the whole of the menu have been made with! For the 8 years I've been going to this place, here's what I can recommend: Maki/sushi: changed over the course of the past 8 years, however, it is always super fresh, tasty and just sublime (I've had sushi in... Staying in Outremont

Neighborhood Profile
Outremont
Outremont, a quaint residential district just north of Downtown, is a peaceful, low-key setting known for its mod cafes and bistros, and some of the best walking territory Montreal has to offer. Visitors can explore the flowering parks and manor estates of Maplewood Street, then window-shop the popular bakeries and coffeehouses on main arteries of Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Rue Van Horne. The modern granola feel is complemented by contemporary art exhibitions, rotating theater productions, and a welcoming public library. Also a nexus for the city's Hasidic Jewish culture, Outremont's diversity resounds in its cuisine and in its architecture. Visit the colorful neighborhood to take advantage of boutique shopping on Avenue Laurier, or to test the artisanal flavors of Avenue Bernard, braving a salmon burger on a squid-ink bun or accommodating your sweet tooth with a provincial chômeur pudding. A visit to Outremont is a relaxing day.
