My favorite Italian restaurant in Montreal. Every time I'm in town I go to eat lunch or dinner. The food is very good during both dinner and lunch. My husband, kids and friends love it. The service is great as well! I go there at least twice a week when I'm in Montreal. I even had lunch one day and... More

We have had lunch here twice and have found the food and service impeccable. They cater to business people at lunch so the service is efficient - the wait staff has no time for small talk. We will definitely return whenever we are in Montreal.

Definitely one of the best restaurant i've been to, staff is friendly, i've really enjoyed the starters. Wine isn't cheap, but this is not a restaurant you go to save money. I would recommend to everyone who likes a calm ambiance

I have been going to this small gem for many years. Recently I have notice a drastic change.everything appears to be a routine from start to finish. Explanation of the menu is a effort. It hasn't changed in years . Service extremely slow and without interest. Recently had the former signature seafood pasta. Dry and uncooked. I have noticed a... More

Food was really good we had a shrimp/peach appetizer to start. Wife had tagliatelle with filet Mignon and mushrooms in a wine sauce and I had filet Mignon (bison) cutting with a fork. Creme brûlée for desert. Food was piping hot! Great service!

Not your ordinary red sauce joint, these are special dishes created by a great chef and supported by the locals, with many speaking only Italian. Great fresh fish and pasta dishes, and go for the fig appetizer. (But yes, save room for dessert...the tiramisu was fabulous.)

Lucca at 1 time was in that elite category of a restaurant that was consistently at the top of its game. Was there a few weeks ago and was just not blown away at lunch. The food was good but on that street there are plenty of options. I just found that it did not have that same passion and... More

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighborhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
