This is a lovely old building with a garden atmosphere and open air. Music is playing and it's in a great but touristy area. No real vegan or vegetarian options fyi. Your food comes in paper and it's kinda glorified bar food...pricey that you might forgive for the atmosphere.

Delightful summer venue complete with easy listening jazz to enhance the ambiance while you dine under a canopy complete with colourful foliage. The meals tend to generous portion size, so don't over order :) We were four persons & each one found their selection to be delicious -- the meat tender. My pasta salad a la pesto also more than... There are 3 areas where you can eat, the front patio, inside and the back area. Walk down the side of the building to the back. It's worth the wait, It's beautiful with live jazz and a gorgeous view.

This bistro is very unassuming from the outside. It appears to be like the rest of the bistros lining the place Jacques-Cartier in Old Montreal. But as you walk inside, you are taken to an outdoor courtyard surrounded by the old buildings of the area, where jazz music is playing and if you are lucky like we were, you will... More

But lunch and service was disappointing. We sat on the terrace and had a very snippy waiter. Service was extremely slow. The crepe was a disappointment.

A group of us stopped in to sit and get out of the rain. The atmosphere in the courtyard is great. It's covered, different levels and has a Jazz band. We had drinks and light snacks and were happy with everything.

Oh the crepes! They were fantastic! You can sit outside in a beautiful garden setting with live music, birds flying around, and trees. Or, you can be inside. There was a line in the evening so you may want to make a reservation. It was worth the short wait!

Went around 4:45 on a Saturday . No problem finding a table . Great jazz band playing. Service was fast and food was great value. Washrooms are down steepish stairs .

Many choices of Crepes and sitting outside is really nice with many level terrasses. Very well positioned restaurant however since the terrasse is not on the street level you miss the shows that happen during the summer in the old port.

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
