Each year we get to Montreal, it would not be complete without dinner at Le Jardin de Panos. The outdoor atmosphere is great, the service is both excellent and efficient. The food is delicious and the great part is bringing our favorite wine with no corkage fee!

Le Jardin de Panos is a convivial place that appeals to groups of happy diners. The terrace in back is a pleasant spot to have supper with family and friends. The food is what you'd expect in Greek restaurants--lots of rice, salad and potatoes, with brochettes of grilled seafood or pork kebab. Good, but not extraordinary. If you want wine,... More

Met friends for lunch. They have a large terrace in the back shaded with awnings. This made for a fun, relaxed lunch.

This restaurant has been around for a while and it's easy to see why. The food is amazing and the ambiance of the place is wonderful. There is a terrace in the back of the restaurant that I highly recommend you choose as a seating place. I highly recommend the chicken brochettes as a first choice because in my opinion,... More

Le Jardin de Panos is a family-owned restaurant that serves excellent Greek food. You can bring your own bottle and the waiter will even bring you an ice bucket if desired to cool your wine. You can eat inside or outside (depending on the weather) The food portions are generous and the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend the... More

Met friends at this fun BYOB restaurant for dinner last night. It's a very popular & lively place with mostly traditional Greek food. Nothing exciting on the menu and the food is competently prepared but somewhat bland to my taste. This is a fun place to eat with a group of friends when conversation is more important than the food.

I knew this restaurant would be good when we had to walk through part of the kitchen to get to our table. Friends who live nearby suggested this restaurant for dinner. The food was excellent as well as the service. This is a BYOB restaurant. It's located in the vibrant "Plateau" neighborhood. I would return.

This restaurant is an institution in Montreal, being in business for more than 30 years. Greek food lovers will not be disappointed. It is known for the quality of its food and its large patio lovely surrounded by bricked walls with trees and plants. I went there a couple of years ago and couldn't wait to go back. Can't wait... Myself, my wife and a friend visited in the early evening after booking a table by phone. Even with a pre-booking there was a five minute wait for our table, it was worth the wait! We took our own bottle of Pinot Grigio which the waiter immediate chilled in an ice bucket and although the restaurant was very busy (always... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
