When one time prior last year and was pretty willing to go back with my in-laws since we see them not as often as we would like. Upon arrival, it took quite a time for the hostess to greet us and bring us to our table since she was buzzing around the bistro instead of taking care of the guess.... More

This neighbourhood bistro has a certain charm that is worthy of stopping in for. Dropped in for brunch with friends after shopping at the close by Jean Talon Market. They’ve created a patio, which juts out into the street. Although cute, it’s completely impractical. The restaurant is located at an intersection, so traffic comes to a stop right by the... More

For a nice light lunch this bistro is great. We were on the terrace and the service was attentive. The food was good and came promptly even though the place was busy.

Neighborhood bistro that has its ups and downs. Always open, welcomed with a smile and the room is large but not noisy. Old furniture but confortable. There is a small room for group. There is also a small terrace on the side of the restaurant. But we go 1st mainly for the burgers that are very good.

I had an amazing oeuf benedictine with goat cheese and it was absolutely delicious. I went back with my in-laws and it was equally as delicious. Great gem in the Litlle Italy if you don't feel like going on Plateau or Old Montreal but still want quality/ fun week-end brunch :)

On a sunny afternoon, this corner cafe fit the bill. Having outdoor seating, so popular in Montreal, we chose to sit and watch as schoolchildren, families and neighborhood residents passed before us. A cool beer and an appetizer were very good choices. The service was pleasant, prompt and (as usual in Montreal) bilingual. Good choice to take a break from... More

Staying in Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension

Neighborhood Profile
Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension
The most ethnically diverse of all of Montreal's neighborhoods, Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension (or, Parc-Ex) stands at the city's center, a hub for rail and metro traffic. Starting at the old station where the Canadian Pacific used to disembark, the brick-and-mortar surroundings of Parc-Ex have a homey feel, with leafy lawns and bicycle lanes seamlessly incorporated into the landscape. With prominent Greek and Spanish communities, Greektown includes the tastiest stops for brochettes and shawarma, and local bars entertain an excitable soccer fanbase. Jerry Park and Stade Uniprix stand ready for sports diehards to enjoy a game, while the the Complexe Environnemental Saint-Michel and Le Taz skate parks invite athletes to train and compete. Though built for the active and best by day, Cirque du Soleil, the TOHU center for arts, and the Le Boulevard shopping center offer diversions for those who wish to stay late.
