The brunch here was delicious, and the portions were massive. I got the "I'll take it all" breakfast meal, which had eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, a slice of French toast, a pancake, baked beans, a bagel, and fruit. My husband got the smoked meat eggs Benedict, which was incredible. Expect a wait, but it is worth it! We waited about... More

This is a funky little cafe in Le Plateau with a big breakfast menu. The dishes are sumptuous. The friendly staff is doing a great job. The 20-min-wait was well worth it.

We got there at almost 2:30 that day, so the wait wasn't really very long. Service, food and prices were all good, highly recommended and well worth the wait. Will definitely come back if I had the chance.

We ate the most delicious breakfast here. The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented. Even my 21 month old granddaughter loved every bite.

Last Sunday our little family who loves to have breakfast finally made the pilgrimage to L'Avenue. Our daughter had been there a couple times and she had been raving about it. Since we were in town we decided to skip our usual joint and make our way down to L'Avenue on the Plateau. The restaurant opens at 8 am and... More

I just can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The atmosphere is fun and modern, the staff is attentive and most importantly ... the food was fantastic. We did experience a short wait for our table (about 15 minutes) but it was definitely worth the wait and I would definitely do it again. The menu is entirely in French, but... More

The one hour wait in line didn't deter us, given all the raving reviews. The decor, especially the Neon colored bathroom, was fun and upbeat. The waiter was incredibly attentive and efficient. As soon as the orders were placed, the elegant fruit skewers were presented. The frapacino and latte in a bowl were generous and delicious, maybe the best in... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
