This was near my Hotel and although it looked pricy I decided to treat myself. The location and atmosphere inside is nice. The food is OK not bad not super. The staff are polite but one of them which seems to be the head can be calmer and be more relaxed. They walk so fast with stress and they transfer... More

I am happy to see that you found the location and the atmosphere is nice. Our food is very good quality for someone who knows fine dinning. The person whom you say has to be more relaxed is myself. I guess you do not know what it is to own a restaurant, there is stress I have to make sure... More

We held a business dinner for 12 last week and were seated out on the terrace. The staff was very attentive throughout the meal. The food was amazing (linguine vongole, risotto with porcinis, stuffed squash blossoms and tagliatelle with porcinis were the favorites). Good italian wine list. The owner, Pietro, was accommodating for the large group and kept checking in... More

Either before a show or a hockey game at Bell center if you don't have much time or for a nice evening with a very good choice of italian food, this restaurant can manage professionally the time you have and serve you an excellent quality meal. Super effective service and good advice on wine choices,I have been there many times... More

This is a very charming Italian restaurant. We had a nice experience but except for the excellent staff, could have been a disaster. We were seated at a lovely table but across the room from a very loud obnoxious(not Americans)table of 6. Why don't these people just go to a bar and enjoy themselves, instead they camp out in a... Vacationed in Montreal with a couple of friends and already had a couple of steak dinners. We felt like Italian, so we perused the restaurant area and Campari Centro caught our eye, mainly for the great location and outdoor seating. Being of Italian decent and living in the NYC metro area, great Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen. Campari... More

Old school Italian. Nice almosphere. Friendly service. A little on the pricey side. My wife's Caesar salad was very good. My tomato, mozzarella and anchovy appetizer was equally good. Her veal scallopini was tender and tasty. My duck breast was good but not great.

We really liked dining in this fine restaurant. The service was great and the food authentic Italian! We had a very good risotto with porcini mushrooms. The appetizers were also great. The owner made sure we were happy and satisfied with everything.

As a frequent visitor to Montreal and always staying at either Montreal Chateau Champlain or Novotel which are both very close, I've been to this restaurant many times. I al always remembered...what a surprise! The waiters are pros, very friendly and fun. The food has always been great...great veal chop and branzino as well as the seafood pasta. It is... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
