Have been to this restaurant years ago but decided to eat there recently. Was a great restaurant years ago and is still excellent today. We were heading to a concert and had limited time. The waiter greeted us and ensured that we would be served quickly so that we could make the concert on time. We had an entree of... More

It was raining so hard that we arrived soaked to the skin. The restaurant was looking pretty empty and it is a big space, so we were wondering if it was not popular or was it the rain? It was around 8pm on a Tuesday. The food though turned out to be very good. We had Fried Calamari, Arugula and... More

I would recommend this Italian restaurant for its fantastic food, great service, and lovely atmosphere. We chose to eat outdoors as the weather was very pleasant. The menu had great specials. Although we didn't think we wanted dessert we decided to share one. It was absolutely wonderful! I would definitely go back if I ever get to Montreal again. The... More

Very friendly and efficient staff. It was very obvious that they cared about the level of service that they provided. They wanted to be certain that customers were happy with their experience. We had wine, diner, and dessert - everything was delicious. The atmosphere was very friendly as well...met some interesting customers at the next table and shared in an... More

Fantastic Italian dining experience from start to finish. Great selection of high quality Italian authentic choices. Extensive wine list in mid to high end price ranges. Wonderful flavors and spices. Fist class service, friendly and very knowledgeable, let the staff help with selection of both food and wine. We sat on the patio, great outdoor dining experience. This is a... More

I went there with recommendation of a friend and loved the place! It wasn't full but they were quite busy, surprising for a tuesday night. The waitor was very attentive and he suggested some entres: grilled octopus (the best I never had). For the main dish I decided to try the milk fed osso buco (waitor's suggestion) which was amazing.... More

My wife, daughter and I spent a wonderful evening with the owner Pietro and our server Amin. The last time my wife and I were here was 10 years ago. We wanted our daughter to experience fine Italian dinning and Campari came to mind. Revisiting this 40 years establishment was the pinnacle of our visit as far as restaurants go.... More

A long established restaurant serving traditional excellent quality Italian food. We both ate scaloppine which was melt-in-the-mouth delicious. Antipasti, salads, seafood, meat, pasta and the usual Italian fare are all on the menu. The wine list is extensive with prices to match. Service is attentive but not intrusive. For visitors to Montreal, and locals, this restaurant is well worth a... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
