I love going to Baton Rouge and eat their ribs. Very consistent. Always nice atmosphere and great value for money.

We ate here last week, and were surprise. I have eaten at other Baton Rouge restaurants and they have been average. I order the fillet mignon, while my wife had the lobster risotto. Both meals were excellent, the appetizers (Caesar salad) and deserts (creme brulee) were also great. Total bill was $141 including tip, which I guess is average.

Like all the other big chain restaurants in front of the Place des Arts, I find that they sacrifice the quality of the food and service because they know their location will make it so their tables are always full. We had reserved for a group at this restaurant on a Saturday. Now, I know it is a busy restaurant... More

I was away on business and we made a reservation for a large group of 28 people. The table was a bit cramped. We only had one person taking our drink order therefore the service was slow. The waiter tried his best and someone helped bring out the food. The food was good and my steak was excellent. The drinks... More

On our way to Montreal from Vancouver (by train), we met a lovely family from Monteeal. The kids and parents were insisting that we try Baton Rouge and that it was amazing. Our friend (who grew up in Montreal) always takes her children and partner to Baton Rouge. They invited us to join them one evening (we all live on... More

We went to this restaurants our first night in Montreal after a recommendation by our hotel, and we were not disappointed. We started with the lobster poutine, which was delicious! The prime rib was equally delicious, and you could choose between various sides, the sautéed mushrooms were great. Both the mashed potatoes and baked potato was good as well. The... More

It had been many years since last going to Baton Rouge (although a different location). I had really enjoyed the seared ahi tuna last time I had it, so decided to have it again. I went with the lighter version in the salad offerings, rather than the entree with side vegetable and rice/potato. The plate that arrived struck me straight-off... More

The Baton Rouge chain might strike you as a tad commercial, but if you have a craving for ribs and have perpetually hungry, protein focussed, weightlifting family members, this place is most definitely worth a visit. A mixture of comfortable booths and tables on different levels provide a degree of privacy. Extensive menu, not a terrible wine list (half bottles... More

My boyfriend and I had dinner here tonight. He ordered the 16 oz ribs with sweet potato fries while I had calamari and lobster poutine. Since I was only eating appetizers, we asked if we could have the three served at the same time to which the young gentleman gladly noted. We said we were willing to wait thinking the... More

Enjoyed lunch before a show at Place des Arts. Was recommended as gluten-free. I printed out the GF menu before going. The waiter was very accommodating but I questioned how much the chef knew since he asked for my printout of list of allergens. The food was very good and my daughter had no reactions and got to enjoy some... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
