Milos seems to be a place to go to and to be seen, and it is a long taxi ride from the city centre hotels. So, not a promising start, but in the end it really won us over. You arrive on the bustly ground floor which seems to be (based on other reviews) where people want to be. We... More

We happened on Estiatorio Milos thanks to our cab driver knowing the area. Elegant décor and simply perfect Greek cuisine from beginning to end. The menu is primarily focused on seafood, offering some very alluring dishes. We started with an overly generous appetizer of grilled calamari; seasoned and grilled to perfection. Our meals of shrimp and lamb were equally amazing.... More

A strong disappointment! Took forever to get the wine or aperitifs Very poor service: they rush the appetizers and then you wait for ever for the main dish. The fish was fresh but cold... And as everyone knows, Milos remains very pricey I had bot been in a while, it will be a longer while before I go back.. Truly... More

The price was worth it! The Greek ceviche is the best! Their crab cake was unique and had a lot of crabs! Need to go back to try the other stuff.

What a beautiful place. No doubt - this is still the best fish restaurant in Montreal (although they also serve meat). As fresh as it could be, perfectly grilled with just a little olive oil, capres and lemon on it. The lunch menu is a bargain for this kind of quality, that's why the restaurant is always full (take a... More

Went for Montreal a Table 2016; wonderful decor, excellent meal but awful service detracted from what could have been an amazing dining experience. A restaurant of this calibre cannot tolerate subpar service. Everything was slow and our wine pairing was an issue as the first of 2 glasses came just as our appetizers were done and the 2nd glass was... More

The food was very fresh and tasted excellent. The service was exceptional! The staff was very helpful and understanding towards my wife's Gluten Free diet. The Octopus is a must have as a starter. The 3 course lunch menu has plenty of choices I wish I could have tried them all. Can't wait to come back!!

While in Montreal attending the Grand Prix we were recommended Milos as the "it" place to go by our Air B-n-B hostess. We didn't have the heart to tell her what an absolute miserable experience we had. What started out as a romantic dinner in a secluded alcove was soon disrupted with the seating of a boisterous table of 14... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
