Every time we visit Montreal Europea is our special night out. It never fails to impress. The food is always stellar but the real star is the impeccable service. If only they could bottle it and sell it to other restaurants. Wines tend to the pricey end of the scale but the sommelier is excellent. Don't be afraid to tell... More

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. My wife and I loved it. The food and presentation were unforgettable. It was a 4 hour experience an we couldn't get enough. At first glance it may seem expensive but you really do get your money's worth. We would go back in a heartbeat

Incredible experience that challenges all the five senses. It is a place that it is certainly worth it to celebrate special occasions. I made a reservation a month in advance prior to our arrival to Montreal and would recommend making it early in the evening around 06:30 PM, if you want to do the tasting menu of 12 options and... We had lunch today at the Europea. We have been to that restaurant. We went with great expectations. Indeed, it was fantastic. We had absolutely lovely lunch. I had poached egg with wine reduction for starter. Heavenly, who would think one will praise preparation of egg so much. Poaching was perfect, silky and wine reduction was great. My wife had... We were a party of 7 and we had the full dining/tasting menu of I don´t even know how many courses and there were courses and pre-courses, menus and pre-desserts and real desserts. It is overwhelming of course the amount of food, but also the quality, the taste, the thoughts, there lies behind the courses... My weak English simply doesn´t... More

We expected a lot from this restorant based on great reviews and they managed to exceed our expectations. The service is amazing and the food and wine pairing option is worth every penny. The mature and sophisticated 5 course degustation menu was followed by a return to childhood like experience for dessert. The presentation was also simply amazing. Will return... More

Chef Jérôme Ferrer, and his wonderful staff at Europea, sure knows how to treat his dinner guests right!!! Our party of 4 enjoyed a gastronomic journey like none we’ve been on before. The pampering started as soon as we were seated when I was presented with a card, signed by the chef himself, saying that he hoped we would have... More

This is our second visit to this restaurant and I am glad they continue to maintain the high quality of the food and service. We started with the cappuccino, followed by foie gras and smoked duck with beef tartar, main course was the AAA Angus beef and finished with the sorbet. Everything was perfect and we washed it down with... More

For foodies of who are always curious to know what's going on in the kitchen, don't hesitate to ask for table 102 when you reserve. It sits two, side by side, and you get to enjoy all the action of the kitchen. But, regardless of where your are sitting, the meal itself, and especially the presentations, are still a show.... I have traveled all over the world and have gone to restaurants of this category (ie Alinea, Charlie Trotters, Monte, Duomo, etc) and I have to say this place was very good. The service and presentation was excellent. The food inventive and creative at the same time delicious. You pay around $120 pp for the standard prix fix menu and... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
