If you are up for a true culinary experience this is your place. We found the restaurant through Yelp and Trip Advisor reviews and it did not disappoint. I went all in and had the 12 course tasting menu with the "Divine" wine pairing. What really impressed me was not just the creativity - calamari cut to imitate tagliatelle and... More

My hubby wanted to surprise me with an amazing dining experience...he did it again! Probably the best restaurant we've been at in Montreal🤗.

Given the high marks Europea receives on Trip Advisor it is not surprising that it is, in fact, remarkable. The service, the various little bites, the main courses, the wine list, etc--truly exceptional. We dined at several wonderful spots in Paris a year ago. None better than Europea.

We made our dinner reservation through the Concierge at the Marriott for which Europea was one of several recommendations. We arrived and were warmly welcomed by the host and were seated in at a nice table on the second level of the restaurant (the restaurant is much larger than expected from the outside). Our servers Anthony & Simon provided extraordinary... More

My colleagues and I had dinner there on a Wednesday right when they opened. We asked to be seated outside and it was a lovely setting with only one other table for 2. Started with a couple of appetizers on the house. Each course came like a piece of art. The smoked salmon came in a book box and when... More

Everything from the moment you step through the doors is simply amazing! The ambiance is upscale French with a true Maitre D, wait staff and all. The service was incredible and the food was beyond expectation! Before any of our food order came out, there was a variety of mini-samples of culinary delights. The wine list and after dinner liquors... More

Before we traveled to Montreal from the US I did my homework and booked our dinner. That it was in walking distance to our Sheraton centre ville was an added plus and not expected. Our reservation was for 6:30 PM last Tuesday - we were welcomed and seated on the upper floor in this very elegant establishment. A personalized welcome... More

Restaurant is well appointed, and the service is very good. The food is excellent both in terms of flavor and presentation, and the wine/liquor lists are well suited to the meals. My only issue is common among good French restaurants - the portions are small. I would happily return to this restaurant.

I had chosen the tasting menu, for vegetarians, and my husband chose the main tasting menu. The food was excellent, from the various delectable flavors, to the exquisite presentations. The wine selection, for each meal, was also a delight. Our waiter was extremely professional, and so very helpful in our choice of menus. He was also very friendly and served... More

This was our first visit and the service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. I had the vegetarian tasting menu so my review may be a bit different than the regular menu. Some items seemed a bit bland for my tasting while others were much tastier. Dessert was fabulous so much so that it started with a mini dessert followed... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
