We stumbled upon Eggspectations while exploring Old Montreal. The breakfast options were excellent, and we stopped in twice during our three night stay.

Many great options. Food was wonderful, but amazing service stood out even more. Our server was extremely friendly and laid back. He engaged in conversation asking about our visit to the city and provided great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. It was raining and forecasted to rain the entire day and he offered to give us... More

Great location. We sat outside in great weather and enjoyed the busy streetlife as we sipped a local beer and sated our hunger. Had the classic egg benedict and pancake highrise both were pretty good

When we are in a new city, we try to eat local and unique. My son saw the menu (he is 15) and wanted to go. We actually went twice because the waiter was so friendly and the food very good. Great for families--lunch and dinner.

Delicious breakfast spot. We were sightseeing at Old Port in Montreal and stopped in for a late breakfast. Brioche French Toast is a definite must have. Kids menu available. Coffee options are plentiful and delicious. Priced right for the area. This is a local chain so plenty of locations around the city. This eatery puts IHOP to shame.

Just a few blocks from the Basilica, look close for the door, nice comfortable insides. The server I had each morning was bright in the morning and the eggs benedict was GRRRate. After your meal it just short walk to all the sites in old town and the port.

We stopped in today for breakfast after disembarking our cruise. It was excellent! I had the all American breakfast, which came with sausage/bacon/ham, potatoes, eggs, baked beans and toast. Everything was awesome, including the very friendly waitress. I would certainly go back.

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
