What a nice restaurant. The service was excellent and was great they took the time to describe each item on the menu and offer knowledgeable advice. The bruschetta starter was marvellous, the salads lovely, crisp & fresh and the entrees had everyone raving. The flavor of the fettuccine ai funghi porcine was amazing. They have an extensive wine list by... More

Food and service were excellent. The bruschetta served to all at the beginning was a great way to start. Even my teenage son, who doesn't eat raw tomatoes, loved it. All our dishes were tasty even though they were simply prepared. My dad and husband had excellent fish. My mom and I had the veal chop, nothing else on it... More

My husband had been here a couple of times and wanted to take me when we spent the weekend in Montreal where he was working. Da Emma did not disappoint, and we will be back. From the parking lot where the old brick building was beautifully lit, to the unique basement rife with history, the ambience was wonderful. We were... More

I came here for dinner on business. The waiter was very knowledgeable and explained the whole menu choices. There were lots of different choices to choose from, fish, meat, pasta and a few good appetizers. We started with the Buffalo cheese with prosciutto and tomatoes. Omg it was just delicious! Then I had the grilled salmon, with roasted potatoes and... More

My fiancé and I absolutely LOVE this place. We've been eating at Da Emma for the past 4 years, went at least 10 times. The ingredients are fresh, for e.g. the Mozarella di Buffala is shipped from Italy as the waiter told us. The dishes are so tasty and the portions generous but not overwhelming. You truly feel Emma's love... More

The food here is absolutely delicious! Not overly complicated presentations, just simple perfect tasting dishes. The prices are good for the food and service that you receive. Louie was charming and very knowledgeable in both French and English. Highly recommend this place for a dinner date for two looking for a hearty and wonderful meal. Grazie!

Recommended by our airbnb host Nelson. A special occasion or experience restaurant. Not expensive for what it is. Great environment. Wonderful food. Check out the photo wall and see who ate here before you. And be impressed that they treat people who aren't famous really well too.

A Montreal landmark in its own right, and that is because its old school, from the kitchen to the staff you are getting the best food/service in town. The menu is limited but that too is for good reason, you get fresh food on whatever is on the menu. Book early as it's always busy and you wont regret it.... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
