I often tale my friends who are visiting to this rather hole-in-the-wall casse-croute on St-Laurent near Ste-Catherine. Make no mistake, this joint has been there for over a hundred years now, and in its humble modesty, they make a really great traditional poutine free from...More

This is an awesome cheap and yummy eat! Prices are amazing, food was amazing, speed was amazing. Fast food without the grease. Burgers were really good, and complimented the bun. Hot dog was delicious and they give you all the sides.

The fries are excellent here, and yes the hot dogs are as well ... if you're into hot dogs. It's far better (for the fries) in my opinion than the much more popular 'Belle Province' just a few doors down. The neighborhood sure has morphed...More

Ate at The Montreal Pool Room during Fantasia Film Festival. Old time Montreal atmosphere. Authentic Montreal Steamies and hearty Poutine.

Every time I’m in Montreal I seem to gravitate here. I love the hot dogs and the poutine is alright. Seems like the perfect combo after a night of drinking.

I'd never had poutine before, so I wanted to try it for my last night in Montreal. My wife and I split combo #4, which was two steamés, fully loaded, poutine, and a can of soda. Altogether, it was probably $12. I thought the poutine...More
