Coba has good food, great service but a bit too expensive considering the competition in this type of cuisine, there's alot of choices in Montreal, Coba manages a great presentation of their plates, however their tables are too close together, they offer no privacy and it tends to get very loud when it's full, bathrooms look tired..

Ate a Coba just recently after not being there for over a year. Inquired about gluten free soya which they did not have. Ordered a main course with a change to remove the gluten noodles but the dish arrived incorrectly. The staff then argued with me instead of just apologizing for the error & walking away. We had two different... More

My birthday celebration at COBA was made especially memorable because of the unique and delicious plates created by the innovative Chef/Owner of this restaurant. A must visit if you haven't already done so.

The most fin fish require you to pull out their pin bones before cooking. For Black Cod, it's a very special fish, you have to keep the pin while cooking. After cooking is very easy to remove the pin. This takes a bit of practice to eat. Sorry about the bad experience at Coba Coba More

Staying in Outremont

Neighborhood Profile
Outremont
Outremont, a quaint residential district just north of Downtown, is a peaceful, low-key setting known for its mod cafes and bistros, and some of the best walking territory Montreal has to offer. Visitors can explore the flowering parks and manor estates of Maplewood Street, then window-shop the popular bakeries and coffeehouses on main arteries of Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Rue Van Horne. The modern granola feel is complemented by contemporary art exhibitions, rotating theater productions, and a welcoming public library. Also a nexus for the city's Hasidic Jewish culture, Outremont's diversity resounds in its cuisine and in its architecture. Visit the colorful neighborhood to take advantage of boutique shopping on Avenue Laurier, or to test the artisanal flavors of Avenue Bernard, braving a salmon burger on a squid-ink bun or accommodating your sweet tooth with a provincial chômeur pudding. A visit to Outremont is a relaxing day.
