This is one of the best fast food restaurants i have eaten in montreal. Poutine and burger was amazing and the spruce beer is to die for. A MUST TRY

Everything about Paul Patate is genuinely good: food, décor and staff. Try the épinette -- it won't disappoint.

Montreal is the only city that I know that makes (traditional) the best hotdogs and fries. Homemade "epinette" (spruce beer) is delicious. A must try if you haven't already. This restaurant cooks them like they have for over 50 years. Second generation, Danny is charming...More

Right up there with Schwartz's as a Montreal legend. Best steamies ever. Poutine OK, but I wan never a poutine fan. The homemade La Bertrand spruce beer is a must. I took four home.

We rode Bixi bikes to this neighbourhood and found this delicious poutine resturant. Definitely enjoyable and worth having anytime of day.

Step back in time to this little quaint diner, where a jukebox would fit in, if only it would fit in the place. Round stools to eat at the counter, small tables and chairs for the rest can accommodate a surprising number for the small...More

Yummy fries and original spruce beer! Friendly staff. Down to earth. Nostalgic for many in At Water neighbourhood. It's part of Montreal heritage as much as smoked meat and bagels.

It's nothing particularly fancy or unusual, but Paul Patates does poutine in a way that simply keeps you coming back. Great fries, tasty (and salty!) gravy, and no skimping on the curds. Quebecois indulgence at its finest.

One goes to Paul Patates for the hot dogs and fries, but mainly for the spruce beer. No addtitives, no preservatives, just a tasty old-fashioned treat! Despite being crowded most of the times, the staff is super efficient and you get served quite rapidly. The...More
