Truly a place for all the amateurs of versatility of the rice. Quality ingredients, little expensive but totally worth it

Nice small restaurant. Bring your wine. They serve 3 different Kimchis vegetable with every dish, which are extremly delicious. Food is very nice and inexpensive. You can watch the owners themselve cooking in the open kitchen. Close to berrie uqam metro station.

A fantastic little BYO restaurant just off Rue Sainte-Catherine - easy walking from the CBD. Nice ambience, spotlessly clean, open kitchen so you can see the food being prepared and a wonderfully helpful, friendly waitress. Has a great selection of authentic dishes, all extremely well priced. Delicious! Well worth a visit.

A little out of the way and in the gay village, but never felt threatened or unsafe, just a few vagrants asking for change but nothing major. The food is excellent only downer is no beer/wine/liquor is actually served but a byob system,as long as you know in advance it's fine.

I've never had Korean food before, so I can't comment on the authenticity of the food at Be Bap. I had the bibimbap, which came with soup and kimchi. It was all delicious and very filling. The waitress was very helpful in describing the dishes and answering questions about the food. The spicy sauce could have been a little spicier... More

I didn't think that I'd find good Korean food in Montreal (I'm Korean), so I was suspicious when my sister wanted to go. But it was GREAT! I know what authentic Korean food tastes like, and it was definitely a treat.

We ate here twice on our trip. Small venue, good service, reasonable prices, great food. Oh, and BYOB! Need I say more?

The location is great. It is clean, modern and comfy. Tthe food is lovely and affordable. They offer spicy and less spicy versions of their dishes. A good place to introduce someone to Corean cooking.

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighborhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
