Decided to kill two birds with one stone, while visiting the Jean-Talon Marche, getting brunch and crepes at the market. When in Montreal you have to sample true authentic French crepes someplace. While not here - the creperie is inside the main building "food court" @ the market and not along the perimeter where most of the eateries are located.... More

Stumbled across this stand in Jean talon market, all very hungry for late lunch, and with some particular food needs. Bingo! Limited number of choices, but most looked great. All are gluten free, and wonderfully tender and crisp. Two savories, delicious...one dessert crepe, also great. Hit the spot...

Everything in this speciality market stall is gluten free. The crepes are made to order on the classic crepe machines, while you watch. You can choose any number of fillings. Ham, cheese, apples...I noticed the whipped cream was so fresh, like I have only tasted before in Europe. It's a little off the path, but the marketplace is very interesting... More

Great permanent stall in the Jean-Talon market. Crepes were fresh and full of yummy ingredients, and they were serving a delicious Kusmi iced tea. I gobbled my crepe up quickly - a great lunch al fresco.

They were warm and delicious. Very tangy but sweet. A lot of nice fresh ingredients in the crepes. Part of the experience is seeing the cooks make the crepes. The staff was very friendly:) I really enjoyed my self. Merci❤️

Went to the Jean-Talon Market and wanted a quick bite. The Creperie looked interesting. I ordered the mushroom, ham and cheese crepe with bechamel sauce. It was delicious and very filling. Just the thing to keep me going for the rest of the afternoon. The dessert crepes looked awesome and I would've loved to have ordered the banana, chocolate and... More

We had the mixed vegetable crepes which were very good. But the have quite a selection. Seating can be an issue but the turnover is rapid so don't fret too much about it. It took quite a while to get the crepes but I was pleased with the size and quality.lots of activity there so good for people watching.

We ordered savory (not dessert) crepes. The staff were helpful and took my family's gluten allergies seriously. The food, however, was not particularly good - neither the fillings nor the crepes themselves were tasty. We were disappointed - we've had savory crepes elsewhere in Montreal that were delicious.

The crepes were just ok. I had a mushroom and bechamel crepe with cheese and ham. It was very bland for something containing a bechamel sauce and the mushrooms were from a can. Still, a filling meal, but there were a lot of solid choices in the market area so I wouldn't have it again. The crepes were gluten free... More

Thanks for your interest, I have the pleasure to tell you that you are the only one to contest my crepes, so it's interresting for me to explain to you that you don't know a lot about my sauce bechamel, and also about my mushrooms I cooked myself...so I think that you are not very update with cooking and how... Description
Who are we? In 2014, after more than fifteen years of experience and a year full of tests and researches, we decided to become the first healthy crepe place in the country. Our motivations : -To improve the crepe to make it healthier. -To allow for people with intolerances to finally enjoy a good crepe, despite constraining diets. -To prefer foods that can be alternatives to wheat. This decision not only brought us to use organic and gluten free flours, such as the buckwheat, chick pea or brown rice flour, but also gluten free ham and lactose free milk and swiss cheese. And to respect our quality charter of healthy and organic food, as well as to maintain a good quality-price ratio, despite the increase in prices, we came to use only fresh eggs from the farm, organic fair trade sugar, apples and fresh vegetables from our producers, and seasonal products the majority of the year. We also looked for passioned and environment-minded associates who would share our preoccupations for the quality of the products. Also, we tried to communicate to our suppliers and clients this willingness to evolve toward an environment-friendly, but still qualitative work.

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighborhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
