We were recommended by our host to try Fabergé for brunch and it did not disappoint in the least. It has the feeling of a quirky café with purple velvet booths and interesting, eye-catching décor (i.e. a picture of a unicorn and a Flava Flav clock) and charming chalkboard beverage menus on the wall. Don't know if it was a... More

This last time going was my second time there and I was just as satisfied. So far the pb&j french toast is most definitely my favorite with their lovely large hot chocolate. Be prepared for a wait especially if you are going on a weekend, the line can be out the door, but it is well worth the wait. I... More

The brunch/breakfast is amazing at Faberge. The lineup is a little long though. We've been there a couple of times and have never been disappointed.

My husband and I went for brunch and had a great time. We had amazing service and were seated right away (we went during the week, on the weekends there is usually a line up). We both had an eggs Benedict dish which were both great. The price was also on par for what we had. We would return to... More

My daughters were looking for crepes and Faberge delivered. What we found was a delightful, comfortable little place tucked away in a nice neighborhood. The menu was full of exciting, tasty combinations. One daughter had the Nutella crepes, the other had classic eggs benedict. My wife had an apple/cheddar crepe and I enjoyed the eggs benedict Supreme. Everything was amazing.... More

Went with friends for Sunday brunch and was impressed with the laid back vibe, fun menu and great food. The line up can be long but the food is worth the wait. The délice French toast is a favourite with cinnamon butter and candied pecans. A friend at the table ordered gluten free smoked salmon eggs Benedict and loved the... More

Had a nice brunch with a few friends. Food is great but the place is very noisy and cramped. We didn't mind one bit as the service and food were both first rate!

I arrived in the city on December 12, for my first time and I was famished! Tired of airport food, I was ready for something different. We walked in ordered some espresso drinks, which were on the table in practically seconds! Our waitress was Claire who was personable, and gave us the feeling of "welcome to the family" effortlessly. I... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
