Food was decent but too salty and/or too sour. Was recommended this place by a buddy. Guess this place is inconsistent. Also servers are nice at first but didn't even say thank you after we paid the bill (with a 20% tip). My girlfriend was clearly pissed off after that, since she works in the industry.

We had an excellent brunch and sat at the bar. The waitress was very helpful in guiding us through the menu and her suggestions were perfect. The scones were delicious with homemade jam. The sausage was so good we popped up the street after our meal and picked some up from their retail store. We dined at nearby Fabergé the... More

We actually went next door to their Butchery shop and had some lovely ham, cheese, pate and salami. What an amazing little shop. I would really be happy to live locally.

Awesome burger. The Bun was super fresh: Cracking on the outside and moist inside, The meat was cooked to perfection (medium rare for me). Home made mayo was served with the Fresh cut mega fries, and in the burger as well.. Heaven was the only thing i could think about while eating this! Service was super friendly and attentive.

Lawrence is outstanding! We've had the most amazing slow cooked meat there. Appetizers are to die for as well. Overall the place is incredible. Can't wait to go back.

This review is based on a sampling of a cheeseburger, french fries, mussels and oysters, all very well presented and tasty. The excellent glass of white wine they served needs a special mention. A must go.

This restaurant is in a neighborhood outside downtown Montreal, but worth the trip. The leg of lamb was tender and delicious.

Beautiful service, beautiful food, sublimely cool atmosphere. How many restaurants have a sommelier these days, especially as unpretentious and friendly as this one? We ordered a magnum of rose that she recommended and were not disappointed. The standout dish was my fettuccine with sea urchin, though they do wonderful things with every part of the lamb, cow, pig, fish. The... More

This place was packed to the brim on a Saturday night. The food was decent, and the service was good. I used the DINR app to get day of reservations. I have read that their brunch may be better. They also had really good bread.

... as I did have a good dinner here, so if trip advisor allowed for 3.5 that is what I would do. The dishes for me were very well "thought", but somewhat let down in execution: the devilled crab was too buttery, the lovely Matane shrimps overly doused in the acidic condiment of the vegetables they came with, and most... Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
