This place is a gastropub with some really cool and hearty food selections. Great beer menu and we watched the Bears and Packers on Sunday night! We had some "da Bears" fans in the crowd and they kept the place lively. Rustic look, good service...More

My wife ordered the vegetarian omelette. It was over cooked and dry. I mean, really? In French Montreal one cannot make a perfect omelette? I had a traditional eggs Benedict and asked for Canadian Bacon which is traditionally how it is made. It came with...More

Belongs to the Auberge du Vieux Port, so handy for breakfast or dinner when staying there. Friendly staff and good food.

It is a very popular place and depending on what time of day, and events on in the city, you would be tight on 45 minutes. I suggest going back for dinner or spending an afternoon at their street tables.

This is a well run restaurant and a manager always seemed present and in charge. My hunch is later in the evening it would be difficult to have a group in and out in 45 minutes though.

Description
Every night, drinks flow generously as our kitchen serves up fresh, pub-style cooking. The menu: soulful staples, original cocktails and friendly service in a classic tavern setting. The space, originally a 19th-century warehouse, preserves much of its old-school furnishings but with a few novel kicks. And come summer, we welcome the warm weather with our big terrace on rue de la Commune.
