Everything is there: Ambiance, great service, great wine and especially great food. The menu proposes things that are off the beaten path and that are a delight to try. We brought Japanese customers there and they were amazed!

Exceptional service. The menu was inventive, a mash-up of different flavours which combined into a meal of good complexity. Atmosphere better suited for a outing with friends than for a romantic quiet dinner - very lively!

This is a great place. Small, but not intimate, busy, upbeat. We called the restaurant because we had a reservation and had been looking for parking for 20 minutes (due to closures of some street parking) and the maître d came outside to meet us in the street to tell us where to go to find a space. The server... More

In a city of great restaurants, Le Filet delivered. Nice energy level and bar area. Portrayed as a seafood focused restaurant, however all of the dishes were outstanding and beautifully presented. I had fish while my wife had duck and the appetizers (tuna tartare and grilled octopus) and desserts were equally strong. My only suggestion would be to do a... More

This a nice restaurant for a special occasion. Reservations are highly recommended and as early as possible. The food and service is excellent. Wine selection is nice too. Four course meal is suggested as portions are good but a bit small, that is their set up anyway. Tennis themed, though I would never have guessed it.

As tourists we wanted to try a restaurant in a different part of town, other than downtown and Old Montreal. And we wanted a restaurant that also offered more fish and shellfish dishes than some of the traditional meals that we had experienced. Le Filet is located in the Plateau Mont-Royal section of Montreal, across the street from Parc Jeanne-Mance... More

Service top notch. Food so fresh tasting. Fun to see what they do with local ingredients. Risotto was al dente, creamy. Seafood was crisp, clean flavour. A winelist for everyone.

My friends took my husband and I out here to congratulate us on getting married. We tried the majority of the dishes on the menu and I must say almost everything was DIVINE. The only things I didn't like were the jalepeno cooked oysters and the onion rings (but to be fair, I'm not an onion ring person). My favorites... More

Staying in Parc du Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Parc du Mont-Royal
Montreal was named for this hilly highland, where the tallest spot in the city overlooks its most extensive parkland. The greenspace of Parc du Mont-Royal is an outdoorsman's dream, with hiking trails and nature walks that cater to every season and level of athlete. In the winter, cross-country skiers, tobogganers, and ice skaters don their equipment by Beaver Lake and its pavilion, while the warmer months bring families and competitors to the pitches of Jeanne-Mance Park for tennis, soccer, football, baseball, volleyball, or a dip in the community pool. A perfect spot for a stroll or a picnic, the forest foliage is dotted with sculpture art and offers views of some of Mont-Royal's oldest edifices, the towering St. Joseph's Oratory and the mausoleums of Notre-Dame-des-Neiges. Home to musical celebrations and twilight snowshoeing alike, visit here to walk, write, rest, think, or just be.
