Went last week to celebrate our anniversary. We sat on the shaded terrace looking across at the park. Really nice setting. Superb service throughout, all the servers were genuinely nice, accommodating, non-pretentious, and efficient. Food was excellent. Were advised to order 5-6 dishes and divide each between us, which worked out great. LOVED the tuna tartare, best we've ever had!... More

We were a group of 5 people and we thoroughly our evening at this local gem. The menu is creative and inspired. All of the servers were professional and helpful. We tried most everything on the menu the standouts of the evening was the tuna tartare and the cod. Definitely splurge on the maple square for dessert.

Unassuming from the front, almost hidden entrance, but a warm welcoming atmosphere inside. Food is excellent, we had the full "game-set-match"-menu and everything we tried was good (tuna tartar, tataki waguy beef, cod, squid linguini, duck). We topped thiings off with very nice desserts. The food is french with a japanese touch, portions are good size letting you have that... More

We were celebrating an important birthday and we could not have picked a better spot! The meal was absolutely perfect: we simply asked the Chef to surprise us - and he did. Each course was a work of art, both for the look and the taste. From the oysters to dessert, everything was perfect; beautiful and succulent. Our server had... More

We visited Le Filet during our trip to Montreal. Although we ate inside at the window, it has a lovely terrace. The menu is comprised of small plates offering a chance to enjoy several courses. Every bite we placed in our mouth was superb. It's been a few weeks since our visit, but what I recall was the Chef's approach... More

This is one of the best menus in town. Simple yet so yummy. We had oysters, the hamachi crudo with a great salad, the grilled octopus, the cod and the cavatelli. It was truly amazing. Great selection of wine by the glass - make sure you try the onion rings ! Always welcomed by knowledgeable and friendly people - great... More

Staying in Parc du Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Parc du Mont-Royal
Montreal was named for this hilly highland, where the tallest spot in the city overlooks its most extensive parkland. The greenspace of Parc du Mont-Royal is an outdoorsman's dream, with hiking trails and nature walks that cater to every season and level of athlete. In the winter, cross-country skiers, tobogganers, and ice skaters don their equipment by Beaver Lake and its pavilion, while the warmer months bring families and competitors to the pitches of Jeanne-Mance Park for tennis, soccer, football, baseball, volleyball, or a dip in the community pool. A perfect spot for a stroll or a picnic, the forest foliage is dotted with sculpture art and offers views of some of Mont-Royal's oldest edifices, the towering St. Joseph's Oratory and the mausoleums of Notre-Dame-des-Neiges. Home to musical celebrations and twilight snowshoeing alike, visit here to walk, write, rest, think, or just be.
