Went there Saturday evening and the two us got lucky as they still had a spot left at the bar. The Restaurant is small, cozy and nice decor. And sitting at the bar is actually great as you have your server always close and paying excellent attention. As it was our first time, she explained everything and gave good recommendations... Small cozy restaurant near the city center. Great Tartars! One chooses the protein and one adds its ingérdients! It gives results of tartar to its taste and which are delicious! The bloody caesar are made in the American way: with a little horseradish! Yummy! There is little seating in this small restaurant so book your place!

I love their menu option to mix an match in order to personalize your tartare experience. It has a chic, classy ambiance and great place to go to catch up with friends.

This review is long over due since I'm a regular customer for the longest time ! Shout out to the great crew of Marché 27 coming from a particular client ( the Asian lady who always order the same meal which is beef tartare in Italian style without the aragula leaves plus fries). I have been to other restos who... More

Found this place online with my friend, it's small, great ambiance and great service. My friend and i got the fish tartar mixed platter, and the mixed tartar plate with fries and drinks. I loved the fish tartar platter, I'd definitely get that again. My friend got the mixed tartar and it was pretty good, I wasn't a fan of... More

If you like beef and potatoes and cheese, then you'll love this food truck. I saw this truck and smelled the delicious aroma and could not resist! The helping was so large that I ate it over a two day period. Very, very good.

The first thing you must realize when you go here is that this is a tartare bar - that is a throwback to 1950s New York City, Mad Men type era. So get rid of any expectations that this is a Chilis or Outback and order your martini first before choosing your raw meat. It will do you good. Oh,... More

Such a disappointment! My family chose to celebrate a birthday there and they made no effort to do anything or make suggestions to make the dinning experience special. The only suggestion that was made was a menu item: the tuna burger. The waitress told us it would be seared and raw in the middle, but when we received it it... More

I'm used to seeing tartare as an appetizer offering, not as the core specialty of a restaurant. A friend had recommended it to me, and I'm glad that he did. My son and I jumped into a plate of yellowtail and hamachi with Japanese sauce, and another with duck (yes, it is also raw) with the Italian sauce - both... More

The food is great: healthy, light, diverse and delectable. Good array of wines to compliment the mainly fish dishes. Fries to die for. The ambiance is classy without pretension. Great date spot or a nice and comfy space for a nice chat with a friend or colleague. Everyone looks axing in the candlelight ;) so conversation flows easily and pleasantly.... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
