I agree with everything that has already been written. The food is simply amazing. The range of flavour and freshness in every bite is extraordinary. I had the lamb - wonderful complements to the perfectly done leg. Others had the flank steak which was apparently really good but looked rather ordinary compared to the other dishes. Our waiter was amazing.... More

Don't let the size of the place through you off, this was some of the best food I've had in Montreal over the past 4 years of being there. Their menu changes each week but some dishes are staples that are on it every week. You'll need a reservation unless you plan to sit at the bar or go for... More

Service was attentive & impeccable. Food is fresh, high quality, prepared with skill. Menu fits all on one page. Starters are roughly 15$ and totally worth it. I had calamari with a delicious salad. My cousins had pork bellies and they were awesome. Portions were generous. For Mains my cousins had the leg of lamb which comes sliced into nice... More

Took my family to Tuck Shop. It was recommended by a few of our friends. It's located in a plain building in an unassuming neighbourhood, The décor inside is really quite nice, very comfortable, not over done. We were treated well and the food was fantastic. My 18 year old son really enjoyed himself. As he was walking to the... More

Being a French foodie living in Toronto, I definitely picked the wrong place to eat. Very pretty and cosy, very Anglo and it quickly becomes sooooo rowdy. I don't even recall going to a noisy restaurant like this in TO except for a pub. I sent back my dish - a hanger steak - for being cooked medium+ when I... More

There aren't enough words to describe the dinner and service. Food was plated beautifully, taste was simply delicious. Service was impeccable. A true dining experience not to be missed. Try the pork belly, yum ! (and don't forget to leave room for the homemade desserts)

Surprisingly delicous. Owners work still on the front. Very authentic. Definitely worth a visit-but packed on a tuesday! Book your table! I was lucky to get a seat at the bar!

When thinking of where to go for dinner with our long-time neighbouring friends, we thought the best place would be Tuck Shop, which we know is an excellent restaurant, and it's chef also grew up on our block. We were not disappointed at all, with an innovative and delicious menu including a selection of fresh oysters and raw scallops, steak... More

Staying in Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)

Neighborhood Profile
Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)
Once the core of industrialized Montreal, the factories and historic buildings of Le Sud-Ouest have been renovated into homes, museums, and small businesses. The rejuvenated landscape has put its Saint-Henri district in vogue, with cutting-edge galleries and an ever-expanding network of restaurants. Foodies can especially delight in the mom-and-pop shops in Little Burgundy, or at the Atwater Market, where outdoor stalls sell fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat, street vendors have menus of hot fish and wine, and the indoor market offers chocolate, breads, and coffee beans. Dominated by the gentle waters of the Lachine Canal, Le Sud-Ouest is still very much an outdoor town, with a number of pedestrian-only bridges traversing the waters, bike paths along the canal with views of the Leisure Boats, and massive green spaces like Angrignon Park to stop for a picnic, or to play a sport.
