Went with a small group of friends. The staff were very attentive and the food was good although a little bland. Very nice portions. Great ambiance but a little noisy.

Tuck Shop came highly recommended, so I had high expectations. Cozy place, atmosphere was nice. All of the appetizers were great, but I was disappointed with the main dishes, the Salmon was very good, the steak was a bit over cooked, the sea bass was ok.

Being someone who explores all of Montreal island and off island for great restaurants, many are good and have a great decor of style or environment however many don't have you raving about needing to go back again for awhile. Tuck Shop however is fantastic and not a single negative word can be said about its food and how they... More

After an 8 hour drive from Ontario we couldn't wait to start our vacation with some great wine and food! My travel companions have extensive restaurant business experience which can make for the most forgiving of guests and the most demanding! Both types showed up! Both front of house and kitchen came through for this demanding group. Special requests and... More

I agree with everything that has already been written. The food is simply amazing. The range of flavour and freshness in every bite is extraordinary. I had the lamb - wonderful complements to the perfectly done leg. Others had the flank steak which was apparently really good but looked rather ordinary compared to the other dishes. Our waiter was amazing.... More

Don't let the size of the place through you off, this was some of the best food I've had in Montreal over the past 4 years of being there. Their menu changes each week but some dishes are staples that are on it every week. You'll need a reservation unless you plan to sit at the bar or go for... More

Service was attentive & impeccable. Food is fresh, high quality, prepared with skill. Menu fits all on one page. Starters are roughly 15$ and totally worth it. I had calamari with a delicious salad. My cousins had pork bellies and they were awesome. Portions were generous. For Mains my cousins had the leg of lamb which comes sliced into nice... More

Took my family to Tuck Shop. It was recommended by a few of our friends. It's located in a plain building in an unassuming neighbourhood, The décor inside is really quite nice, very comfortable, not over done. We were treated well and the food was fantastic. My 18 year old son really enjoyed himself. As he was walking to the... More

Staying in Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)

Neighborhood Profile
Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)
Once the core of industrialized Montreal, the factories and historic buildings of Le Sud-Ouest have been renovated into homes, museums, and small businesses. The rejuvenated landscape has put its Saint-Henri district in vogue, with cutting-edge galleries and an ever-expanding network of restaurants. Foodies can especially delight in the mom-and-pop shops in Little Burgundy, or at the Atwater Market, where outdoor stalls sell fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat, street vendors have menus of hot fish and wine, and the indoor market offers chocolate, breads, and coffee beans. Dominated by the gentle waters of the Lachine Canal, Le Sud-Ouest is still very much an outdoor town, with a number of pedestrian-only bridges traversing the waters, bike paths along the canal with views of the Leisure Boats, and massive green spaces like Angrignon Park to stop for a picnic, or to play a sport.
