We found this restaurant as we wanted to try something French and it was within walking distance from our hotels in the downtown. It's full house even on a Tuesday evening. Luckily, we had reserved a table in advance on web. The food was very delicious, especially the scallop and the hamachi which the waitress recommended. The waitress is very... More

We couldn't believe where the taxi drove us, then, there it was. A wonderful respite in a less than wonderful neighborhood. This is an outstanding and innovative restaurant and one that everyone should enjoy sometime in their life. We loved it and consider it a reason to go to Montreal.

We tried this restaurant on a Monday evening and there was a pretty full house which suggested a sought after dining option in Montreal’s crowded restaurant landscape and we were not disappointed. The venue is centrally located and offers a large open area with a soft lighting and simple but elegant design. The staff were well trained without a glitch and offered... ...if you are trying to separate the good from the great you have to be very tough! This is without doubt a very good restaurant, perhaps feels a tiny bit too much style over substance but in general a really good experience. Food was generally delicious - foie gras, mackerel, lobster and scallops all very tasty and beautifully presented. And... More

Everything tasted great and all the flavours worked with eachother. The service was also great! We will defintiiely return whenever we... More

Talk about top-notch. Four of us American tourists were lucky to get a lunchtime seat here on a Tuesday, and it was spectacular. A very well-dressed business clientele. Fabulous food (my favorite was the mackerel appetizer) and top-notch service. Even the bathroom are memorable!

We're always looking for great places to eat in Montreal and this certainly one we've recently discovered! The food is superb, the decor is modern and simple and the experience fantastic. Highly recommended if you're a foodie and in the Montreal Downtown area. And don't look for a big sign if it's your first time. Don't judge a book by... More

The exterior is nondescript and the interior is sterile chique, but it is all about the food.....first class ingredients, beautifully presented and beyond delicious. We started with a superb corn soup, hamachi and mackerel morsels, and moved on to guinea fowl with wild mushrooms, lobster linguini and lamb risotto. Everything was a feast for the senses. Service is impeccable.....knowledgeable, friendly... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
