This place is pretty small, and the menu is pretty well limited to fish & chips. But they execute that well, and the price was reasonable. Good for a quick meal.

We had the best Fish n chips ever! I went to England so many times, never had a fish n chips that good! I loved everything, tartare sauce is quite pretty amazing! Well done to you Brit and chips! We will come back everytime we are in Montreal! It's authentic, good service, people are happy to be there!

In a week-long trip to Montreal, I've been here twice so far. It's a cozy place, with great service. Everyone is friendly, and the food is excellent - the salmon fish and chips are amazing. If I lived here instead of Texas, I would easily become a regular here. Love this place!

I really like the place and their menu. Their food is very full of flavor. I tried their Salmon and Cod fish with Salad instead of the chips. It was a nice balance. I tried also their Cod fish cakes with curry mayo and also their ice cream.

After reading the reviews here, we had to try this place. The fish and chips are authentic British style. Unfortunately the mushy peas seems to have a taste of mushed up Canadian peas, instead of the proper British ones, but the fish and chips made up for it. The steak pasties are also good, with tender steak inside, and a... More

Great beer (Burgundy Lion Ale especially). Also, unlike most fish and chips dishes, this fish was filling and full of flavor. The batter perfectly complimented the already delicious fish, and the menu offered many unique choices. I only wish the restaurant was more spacious because I found myself bumping into the person next to me frequently.

Basic resto. Food was good but was expecting something different. Good portions but a bit too much batter. Expectations were high especially after having seen in on You Gotta Eat Here. Would go back and give it another try.

Best fish and chips I've ever had. The fish was so flaky and delicious on the inside, crispy but not too greasy on the outside. Chips were also cooked to perfection. I would definitely come back here if I ever return to Montreal.

From the fish to the mustard to the greasy yet flaky crust of the pork pie, the place screams authentic even when they infuse a little maple syrup into the mix. There is no shortage of chic cafes, adorable bistros and fine dining in this fantastic city but if you want to be a limey for an hour, this is... More

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
