My wife and I have eaten there 3 or 4 times and the food is very good! My wife raves about the Veal Chop! Appetizers and Salads excellent! The only negative is when they are busy it is very loud with poor acoustics! Otherwise we enjoy the Restaurant!

The owner personally took care of us that evening and spent as much time as possible with us. it was a very memorable evening and as a parting gift, the owner prepared a jar of special oil for my husband. We even traveled back home with it and he is still savoring it.

We wanted some Italian food and a walking distance from our Westin downtown hotel. We reserved; had a good table and a friendly service but the pasta was very ordinary, the tomatoe/meat sauce lacked of spices, the traditional Ceasar salad lack of originality, no cheese and "blah!", the red wine which was suggested was poor, for what we ate it... We went here for dinner last night. Seeing the reviews on this place we were very excited to try. I'm a vegetarian (aspiring vegan) and my wife has a gluten sensitivity, so Italian is typically out of bounds for us. Calling for reservations in English was impossible, so we had the hotel staff call for us. That's on us, not... More

My vegan father, gluten free and sugar-avoiding mother, and myself (with celiac disease) were all able to have an incredible meal together. The service was impeccable, with our waiter even going so far as to replace our untouched bread basket with a gluten-free one, with no extra charge. The food was exceptional, service even better. Well worth the price.

I called ahead to ask about their gluten-free options. When I arrived I was treated like a VIP. They surprised me with GF bread and a wonderful tomato appetizer. The tomato sauce was amazing. My daughter's steak was delicious (she even ate the vegetables). As a person with celiac it is often difficult for me to eat out. They made me... More

Cute little restaurant in Old Montreal .Visited a few months ago and have been going back ever since! Tastes like pasta you'd get right out of your grandma's kitchen, delicious!

We are here because it was near our hotel. It's good Italian, probably a little pricier than it would justify on another setting but it's in old Montreal and you're always going to pay a premium for location. Lamb shank was well prepared. Puttanesca was standard fare. Prosciutto farfalle with rose sauce good. Lots of Italian wine to choose from.... More

Wonderful little restaurant in downtown Montreal. The owner's daughter is Celiac so they know what they are talking about when it comes to gluten free.

While the service was friendly and helpful, the atmosphere and decor were uninspired, and the food very average.

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
