I've been wanting to try this restaurant for months, I finally had the chance to this week. The restaurant has a lot of potential, the food was delicious but the service was lacking. We had to grab the waitress to order after waiting 30 min at the table, I received my cafe au lait 25 min later and not once... More

Jordan Isenberg's amazing suggestion for Sunday breakfast. Little 30 minutes wait inline to get a table but worth it. Great food with smoothies and Mimosas!

Visited for breakfast looking for the highly rated restaurant Ma'tine that used to be at this location. My partner had an omelet and I had a croque Madame, which was terrible. The sandwich itself was on overdone bread with very fatty ham and then topped with a salad that was drenched in blue cheese dressing. Had to ask for another... More

I went there recently to their new location with friends and their service has gone downhill since our last visit. It took them over an hour to prepare and bring my gauffre maison to me. I complained about this and they agreed to provide a price reduction. The manager remembered us from our last visit at their old location and... More

These are not the grilled cheese your mother was making. You are not talking about the orange stuff between two pieces of bread. These people take the grilled cheese to the level of an art form. If you do not feel grilled cheese, there is plently else on the menu

I went there with a friend. The actual restaurent is small and not particularly pretty. Old appartment converted with two separate rooms. Let's beggin by saying that I didn't finish my plate. The problem wasn't that it didn't taste good but after a quarter of it I couldn't take a bite more. I wondered why and it's simply too greassy.... More

Their food is great but their side potatoes are the bomb! I was eating the crumbs ( crispy pieces) off my friends plates. Not only do they have great food their atmosphere was great with family, friends and their music selection amazing, mixing in slum village, lauryn hill with soul. Portions are quite big, if you can choose just get... More

I've visited this restaurant for brunch twice and was never disappointed. I went once with my kids and once by myself and both times I was lucky as there was no lineup. If you like restaurants with outstanding designs, it would probably not be the best place for you (you will notice from my submitted pictures that even the plates... More

WOW!!! The food and service was exceptional. Local friends had recommended the place because of the Panco French toast, but I much preferred the confit eggs Benedict - divine!!! We were in town for only 5 days and after our first visit, we made it a point to eat here for our last meal in the city.

When we entered the restaurant on a cold winter noon, we were told to wait outside, since most of the tables were taken. We ended up waiting 20 mintues, even though there were some open tables (or so it seemed). When we entered for the second time (after 20 minutes), another lady greeted us and wanted to put us on... Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
