My husband and I live very close to the Griffintown Café, so when we dont want to walk up the hil to downtown, we go to Griffintown Café for brunch and every time we leave this place, we always say we are not coming back, but this time for real! The only thing that is good there is food, except... More

I went with a friend for dessert. It took 15 minutes for someone to come and take our order. We end up ordering coffees and the brownie (since they only had that and a fruit crumble left). Brownie was all burnt and bitter. Not much to choose from for the dinner menu as well. Don't think I will be coming... More

Been here a couple of times and it has always been a good experience. Nice staff and delicious food. Brunch cost around $10-14, which is a good price consider that you definitely will get full! Plus for a nice presentation too.

This is a real nice little restaurant where you can eat revisited classic comfort food: grilled cheese with pulled pork, mac'n'cheese with bacon, a hamburger filled with poutine... The night we were there, there was a duo playing soft music. We had a great evening!

Menu offering was somewhat limited yesterday most likely because it was s holiday. Really enjoyed the decor of an old building and appreciated that the place was not cramped with tables so that the guy next to you could hear your private conversation. We will go back!

Interesting drink and brunch selection in a funky atmosphere situated in an interesting up and coming part of Montreal. Will be back for dinner some time.

Busy, busy. Even for an early Sunday brunch. Reservations recommended. Sad, the great places cant fit everyone at a whim. Soo, glad we got a seating. Great Food! Great atmosphere. Think turn of 20th century home interior becomes hipster diner. Love the cantilever glassware rack over bar area!!

This is a nice restaurant with great staff but unfortunately food service was really slow. Food taste great especially the crab cake on the brunch menu. The drink was good too. I recommend this place if you enjoy the atmosphere and not in rush for your food. Great place with nice decor. Small resto and long wait for tables at... More

The atmosphere of the restaurant is absolutely charming. Although we had to wait a bit for our food, the waitress offered us a desert, which absolutely was worth the wait. The music was lovely as well.

Staying in Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)

Neighborhood Profile
Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)
Once the core of industrialized Montreal, the factories and historic buildings of Le Sud-Ouest have been renovated into homes, museums, and small businesses. The rejuvenated landscape has put its Saint-Henri district in vogue, with cutting-edge galleries and an ever-expanding network of restaurants. Foodies can especially delight in the mom-and-pop shops in Little Burgundy, or at the Atwater Market, where outdoor stalls sell fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat, street vendors have menus of hot fish and wine, and the indoor market offers chocolate, breads, and coffee beans. Dominated by the gentle waters of the Lachine Canal, Le Sud-Ouest is still very much an outdoor town, with a number of pedestrian-only bridges traversing the waters, bike paths along the canal with views of the Leisure Boats, and massive green spaces like Angrignon Park to stop for a picnic, or to play a sport.
