Prior to our departure for Toronto we came here to have a late lunch and it was a gorgeous day to be on the patio, however when we requested to sit outside they said 'We cannot sit you outside because we cannot service inside and outside as we don't have enough staff!' Your on one of the busiest streets in... More

Superb service - prompt, very pleasant, professional and honest...the server recommended that we reduce our order. The setting is quaint and comfortable with traditional accents. The dinner cuisine is fresh, flavorful with ample servings. We had leftovers which the server willingly prepared as takeout. Butter chicken, eggplant side dish and, garlic naan - a fabulous pairing!

I was here several years ago and was very happy to discover that the restaurant was still there. The food was as good or better the second time around. Attentive friendly service. Wide selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Low-key and pleasant ambiance.

My husband and I came here to have a before dinner drink and appetizer. What a find. Super location and really authentic Indian dishes. We had a great bottle of wine, that the server Alexandra recommended, and the shrimp starter. I could have eaten that shrimp all day long - amazing. I was mad we had other plans for dinner,... More

The food was simply amazing - one of the best indian restaurant I ever tasted. However, the waitress didn't speak one word of french even though we were answering her in complete french. Our values were so deeply hurt, that we were too stubborn to speak english. It's sad because this restaurant would be worth 5 stars, but last time... More

We enjoyed a good meal on the patio. The waitress was very friendly and attentive and was helpful when we asked for directions. She is new to the area but when and asked someone else to help us.

It was our first night out in Montréal and after a long tour of the city we looked for a small restaurant not too far from our hotel. We sat in the small dehors and enjoyed a tasty Indian dinner. The waiter was helpful and relatively quick, the place being full. Price absolutely reasonable.

While visiting Montreal's downtown area, we were looking for an Indian restaurant when we saw their sign. So happy that we went up the stairs and decided to eat there. The food was fabulous and so was the service. Syad, our waiter, was so nice. It was our first time but certainly not our last. We'll be back on our... More

I always have lunch in Indian restaurants in the downtown area with the same 2 friends. This time we tried Devi. I really liked everything from the curry to the samosas. The service was excellent and so was the atmosphere. I would definitely go back.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
