This is a fun restaurant with good quality food and a long selection of different foods to suit all tastes. I would recommend it if you are hanging out with a group of friends and are looking to satisfy different gastronomical tastes.

This little corner cafe is a hidden gem of Mont Royale. My boyfriend and myself tried to get into L'Avenue down the street for Sunday morning breakfast. Unfortunately we were welcomed by a massive line up. So we ended up here instead... And they absolutely exceeded our expectations. I had the Les Folies special. Which included toast, home fries, scrambled... More

I've tried bison burgers at many places but this one in particular is excellent. I personally think it's the sauce that makes this one taste so good. Downside of my experience was that I asked to remove the fried from my plate and get more salad. I was dissapointed to see that I had the same amount of salad as... More

I love this place. They pull off a vintage feeling without being tacky, The breakfast poutine is decadent. The lemon confit is fabulous. Their home fries are AMAZING! Good coffee (although not included in breakfast price) is decent. Staff is friendly, accommodating and conscientious (waitress remembered my particularities on my second visit!) Fin place. Worth every penny!

The Poutine with Duck Breast was SO bad. I ordered it thinking my poutine would have a nice piece of duck breast on top of it- but the duck come out shredded with a bad taste. $15 dollars isn't a big deal for GOOD poutine, but it is so not worth it for unpleasant tasting ones. Menu needs to clarify... More

Hi, thanks for your comment. Unfortunately we made a mistake while translating our menu from french. We are going to write "shredded" in our next print. Poutine is usually served without a knife and putting a whole piece of duck breast on top of it don't make a lot of sense. We always have good comment about our poutine, I'm... More

Four of us recently stopped in for brunch after not wanting to wait in line at another spot and were very pleasantly surprised. The place was about half empty when we arrived, but filled in very quick. Food was very good, particularly the breakfast poutine with duck confit and omelettes. Service was also very quick and attentive, by far the... More

what can i say, with a lot of menu options for breakfast and good coffees...this place has good ambiance and is as nice in the summer (with a nice terrace) as it is in the winter. Service is always good or almost ;) and you can always go for brunch or dinner way better than other places on the same... More

This is a very small little spot and seating is tight but the service was good and the food was delicious. We were a party of four and we all enjoyed our various selections of burgers, salads and sandwiches. A nice spot to enjoy lunch and conversation….

I ordered a chicken wrap which was served toasted with salad - it was swimming in oil and had so much fatty cheese I couldn't eat it. Usually melted cheese on things is the best bit but this totally overpowered and ruined everything, not to mention the chicken absolutely slathered in mayo. Shame as it's a nice setting, right by... Can highly recommend this place for a warm welcome and good food. Generous portions too. Waitress was knowledgable about the menu and introduced us to poutines! DJ played great mix of music and picked up on what the four of us like. Very relaxed and friendly. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
